"According to TMZ, Night at the Museum director, Shawn Levy will direct the project. It's not sure if Shawn will be able to use this as an excuse to get out of directing The Flash after all the outcry that followed the weekend announcement of him directing The Flash. My guess would be yes."

Wow, Looks like fan outcry is good for somethign after all. Hopefully He Like Jack Black will save himself the Embarrassment of failure and will just quit. Keep shouting out your opinions!

You know, there's got to be a reason WB went with Levy. Personally I think it's cuz Goyer was dead set on a Wally movie with Barry, but DC/WB want a BArt movie cuz unfortunalty he's currently wearing the flash costume. Hopefully I'm wrong and we'l all be surprised with an awesome movie. But I think we should at least wait until the script comes out, or they cast Will Ferrell was Flash before we rip off people's heads...

You know, heres the thing about Levy: we dont really know what would happen. He's easily a better choice than Goyer, but then again, just about any hack is. I mean look at Raimi. Judging from his previous films, I never would have guessed this would have been the best man to direct Spider-man. But here we are with two of the greatest films in the genre with a third one on the way, which is almost sure to be the first good Superhero trilogy.

I'm amazed people still think petitions work. WB isnt going to change anything till the cash flow is affected. Which means the movie comes out, looses them money, then they change things.

well I believe something got to work, we cant just sit still and let wb screw up the first and maybe the last chance for big screen view of the flash. if wb lose big time money on this movie flash may never have another chance. Im sure flash fans can agree with me why wait til wb lose more money before they take us fans seriously its has to be done right from the begining. the first time around, if we have to save our beloved flash by petitions so be it!!! flash" but seriously Im 48 now I would love to see a childhood decent superhero movie before I passaway. would not want to wait til age

so let me get this right on cartoon networks Jlu they got wally west as a bafoon idiot who trips over himself and tell corny jokes and on smallville bart allen is a theif with superspeed who only cares about himself. I personally would not drop 9.50 to see either one of them at a movie. barry allen hell yes!!!! , he's not a bafoon nor a superspeed theif nor a disgrace to the flash legacy like wally and bart is. if mr. gardner was still alive the man who created the flash was directing this movie we all be drooling with awe!!! and full of amazement of fx of his imagination, but since wb is in control we have to settle with what they want us to see light comedy/family fun for all type movie that sucks!!! people with the Iq of a dollar bill. so fans I predict a boring movie lot of triping over his own feet, bending over like he's drained gasping for air , lot of farting to boost his speed along the way type comedy.

If enough people signed a petition to have levy taken off the flash do you think that would help the situation at all? It would probably have to be as big as when the WB cancelled Angel. Those fans had billboards and news paper ads. A las...that didnt save the show.

I guess The WB just turns a deaf ear to the cries of its target demographic.

You're right.

I'm not the biggest fan of Levy myself, but you know..I guess I should give him a benefit of the doubt. If i had it my way, i wouldn't let him make it.

But I do know that Levy has a full plate of projects, so I don't know what's his main prioties as of right now. Maybe he can pull a Joss Wheldon and get booted off? I dont' know!

For some reason, I don't think that Levy is the type who would do extensive research on The Flash. I just don't feel his vibe.

Both have made successful films as of late although Story seems to be associated with pictures that are taylored to a targeted audience. Levy on the other hand has directed films for mostly general audiences and has made more money with larger budgets. Both men are college grads (Story from USC film school and Levy from Yale). I would have to give Levy the slight edge for that, but I must admit that Story is young and has been successful with his films.

can any of you flash fans imagine going to see someone runing 1,000 miles a sec. triping over himself?? not me!!! i rented out the movie "zoom" with tim allen from home improvement tv show he played a flash like character in this movie he triped over a pebble and that one trip lasted 2 and a half miles before he came to a halt. now if shawn levy have something like that as comedy shame on him. and us flash fan be screwed big time!!!!!!

I don't know why you guys give Story such a hard time about F4. Dude is doing his homework plus the trailer for the movie looks tight. At first I was totally against Levy doing this movie but now I'm willing to give dude a chance. I see why people don't like to make Superhero movies cuase the fans complain to much. Give dude a chance. Plus when you look at it, Flash might be a hero he is tailor made to make. He's not the most serious superhero, he is a family oriented hero.

I'll sign a petition to get Singer fired from another Superman movie. And I know people that won't work, he is going to direct the another Superman movie.

You should also sign a petition to prevent Story from directing another FF movie and MSJ from ever directing a movie be it a comic book one or otherwise. I would have said the same for John Favreau and Luis letterie but I haven't seen them direct a comic book movie yet.
