Sequels Would you change Spidey's costume???

I seriously think Miguel O Hara's (Spider-Man of 2099) suit was the best out of Peter Parker and Ben Reilly's wardrobe. It had flare and I liked the new spider design on the front. And I like how the black is replacing the blue

I thoroughly, emphatically disagree. It was hideous. Nothing about that suit said Spider-Man. It had a skull on the front & it had a cape. And I would puke if they put that monstrosity onscreen.

Looks VERY similar to Alex Ross's original design.

The emblem looks too much like a cockroach. Personally, I like how it looked in Marvels much much more.

I think if the Marvels costume has raised webbing, it'd be absolutely perfect.

And given Alex's distaste for the raised webbing, that'd be unlikely.

I think the title of the thread should be renamed to

If they were to change spidermans costume, how could they change it.

Spider-Man's costume is a design classic and to mess around with it would be comicbook sacrilege of the highest order.
It's like Dan Didio waking up tomorrow and sayin' "Jeez, Y'know what? Rings are so 1990's, from now on Green Lanterns gonna get his powers from an iPod! yeah...Yeah, thats the ticket!"
Everyone knows Spider-man. Everyone! His costume is ingrained into the cultural conscious along with Warhols silkscreen and the McDonalds golden arches...
Change Spider-man's costume and you may as well paint a big grin on the Mona Lisa cos' "Hey! She's bringin' us down!" or glue plastic mannequin arms to the Venus DeMilo because it might be offensive to amputee's...

That design is not so bad. The problem is The original spiderman costume is better so why change it? The movie costume is perfect execpt the web on his costume are a bit too 'tick' if I can say so, Other than that It s great!

It's Venus De Milo that has no arms.

"Tick"? Ticks don't spin webs.
The suit is hideous. The symbol is all wrong. It looks like an upside-down exclamation point. There's no symbol on the back. The eyes look sinister. The visible webshooters remind me of the TV show. There's not enough red. I don't like anything about it & I'm immensely grateful that Sony didn't use it.

Hell, I was afraid they were gonna put him in leather, so I'm thrilled with what we got.

Ah, F#ck! I meant Venus De Milo! Would you believe Im actually an ex-art student? How embarasskin'! Apologies, i was very, VERY tired at the time of writing... Consider me owned, sir! Hehe!

I said the spider-man movie costume web are too tick.

Look closely and see how thick it is.It is so thick it should break when spidey is doing acrobatic moves.

Not at all; it's crafted so meticulously that it blends seamlessly with the fabric.

Why?

It perfectly fits the look of actual spider silk. I know black is what you're used to, but hell, how long ago were we all used to a Batman with a blue cowl & trunks?
Besides, the light hits it right, you can still get the illusion.

The truth is Peter is not a costume designer. The costume he wears looks more like some one professional who made it for him more than he made it him self.

im thinking, ordianry spidey gloves and boots, but with nothing else but spidey Borat thong and spidey eye lense goggles, this is spidey future!

The truth is Peter is not a costume designer. The costume he wears looks more like some one professional who made it for him more than he made it him self.

In the novelization of "Spider-Man 2", he did have a professional designer make it for him; it was a favor from the Flying Dutchman, in return for humiliating Bonesaw.
But that's neither here nor there. He's not a costume designer in the comics, & yet, at 15 years old, on a shoestring budget, he made what is arguably the best superhero costume in comics history & we accepted it. To downgrade from that would be a bad move.
Although I will say this; long before the first film went into production, like back in the 90's, I kicked around ideas for a Spidey film. (What fan didn't?) One of them was that he would make himself an incredibly lame, ultra-cheesy costume. Something that he could put together with what a teenage boy w/no money could get ahold of. And then, once his brief showbiz career took off, his agent/manager would put forth some cash & provide him with a much better suit.
That would've been my justification.

Hey I do agree thats one of the best costume of all superheroes movies. I remember when they first talk about making Spider-man I was like: How in hell they gonna do a red& blue costume that is not goofy? And guess what? Not only they did like the comics but it looks great! What I said about the web is a small details. iT's just that it so perfect that I 'm saying to my self: Is peter that good? The costume is 9.8/10 :yay:.

Hence my justification. But then, Hollywood's sold us the notion that a blind man can make himself an elaborate leather bodysuit, that Cyclops-who's a good 8" shorter than Wolverine-would just happen to have a spare suit that he could fit, & Bruce Wayne could easily get into a prototype suit that Lucius just happened to keep lying around.
