Are we talking about something like Ex Machina? But Alicia Vikander's character only had human flesh right at the very end. Before that, she still looked like a robot. But the other character played by Sonoya Mizuno looked human, but she didn't seem to have any personality and wouldn't have passed the Turing Test. But even some humans might not be able to pass that.
Of course, Alicia Vikander trapped Domnhall Gleeson in that room at the end quite callously, which made her somewhat unlikeable. It's as if she had an underlying agenda all along. Wouldn't that be the fear with these sex robots that they could just be planning something? But the thing is that you want them to have sentience and free will with their own distinct personality, otherwise it would be just boring and there would be no sense of connection or interaction. Essentially, the robots would have to be more like escorts than sex slaves.
