Ya guys the title says it all.

I mean common all of WB big movies get IMAX release and even Fox's ROBOTS , NATM got IMAX release even though the movies aren't visually as amazing as F4:ROTSS.

Hell WB released Poseidon on IMAX and that movie was crap. SR released in IMAX and didn't had that many visually stunning action scenes yet it was released and helped it cross $200 million mark in North America. BB was a great movie but didn't had any visually stunning scenes to warrant IMAX release yet it was released and that helped it a lot in terms of boxoffice.

I personally want FOX to seriously consider about releasing F4:ROTSS on IMAX becasue silver surfer and human torch are going to sizzle and wow the audience who go to watch the movie and ultimately help boost its boxoffice.

I'd love to see it that way. the Big G would be great on that screen! Problem is down here I don't think there is an Imax real close.

Hmm, I would love to see this, although I wonder why they never did it for X-Men 3. Was the first Fantastic Four released in IMAX?

ya i will never understand why they didn't release X3 in IMAX.

I think FOX's strategy is to release only 1 movie every year in IMAX since 2005.

ROBOTS in 2005 got IMAX release.
NATM in 2006 got IMAX release.

I am hoping they release F4:ROTSS in IMAX.

No the 1st movie didn't get IMAX release becasue i guess like i said before ROBOTS came before it and it was released in IMAX as well.

I'd love to see SS zipping around on an IMAX screen. My problem is that the IMAX in my area is connected to a museum so the screenings would be very limited and for a very short time.

>^^<

Why not? If the film has enough scenes of the same quality and intensity of the trailer...hell yeah. If it's like the first film...no. I voted yes cause I think this is going to be wayyyyyyyyy better than the first mediocre film.

Are you kidding ? The Surfer, Galacuts, Dr. Doom, and the FF on Imax ? :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: Can you imagine an 8 story high Thing ?

Hell ya.

Let us all send a nice letter without and harsh or strong langauge to fox and tell them to kindly release it in imax since the movie will be much more stunning and at the same time explain them the economics of releasing it in imax as well.

Just say like SR or BB it can cross $200 million at dometic boxoffice.

I agree!

i don't understand who voted for NO.

yeah, i don't really even understand the need for this poll/thread. as long as they release it in a regular theater somewhere near me, they can release it in as many other formats as they want. who cares?

So is mine. Are you talking about the IMAX by the beach?

And yes I'd love to see FF in IMAX screen and hopefully IMAX 3D :wow:

While i would love to see this movie in IMAX or for that matter any other big budget VFX movie in IAX i doubt Fox would do that.
Granted they did do it with ROBOTS and Night At the Musem but the fact that they didn't do it with X3 could be IMO that they are playing it safe and just going with movies geared to kids and their parents.

Let's also not forget the fact that it does take some time to convert a movie to the IMAX format. If i remember correctly both Harry Potter : Prisoner Of Akzaban and Spiderman 2 were released in IMAX after being shown in the regular theaters.
While this could be because the process of converting these movies didn't go nearly as fast as it's now and/or the , i think it also had to do with the fact that the movies weren't ready in time to convert them in IMAX.

If you look at the movies post SPiderman 2 that were released in IMAX , you'll see that they were finished very early on as opposed to movies that really pushed their deadlines :
ROBOTS
Batman Begins
V For Vendetta
Harry Potter 4
Poseidon
Happy Feet
The Polar Express
Superman Returns
Night at the Musem

Now compare it with the movies that are going to be released in IMAX this year.
Spiderman 3 ( work has been done since 3 years) , Harry Potter .
If the movies are finished early on ( say a couple of months before their release) , then the they can be released simultenously in regular and IMAX screens. But seeing as how this is FOX and they really do push the deadline as seen with X3 , i doubt we will be seeing this movie in IMAX screens. Same goes for Ghost Rider sadly cause i remembered reading somewhere that the VFX work will finish in January with the release date in Feb.

VERY good points, and based on what you have said I highly doubt we will be seeing this in IMAX. Its a shame, because some of the footage that we have seen already would work really well on IMAX screen.

It is a shame.
Because there are MANY movies that i would've preferred to see in IMAX ( 3-D).
FF , I AM LEGEND , POTC , Ghost Rider and Transformers to name a few.

Oh well , at least i can find comfort in the fact that both Harry Potter AND Spiderman will be released in Imax :woot:

Sr would not have made 200 without IMAX. It accounted for allmost 30 million of its domestic take. Without it would have only been 170 million.
