Thing is, I feel like I've now been burned twice by Lesnar vs Goldberg with the first match being a little dull and this being a freakin' squash. I really have no interest in another match.

If he wasn't in ring shape then they should have waited til the Rumble.

I get it, Goldberg's old WCW gimmick was he squashed everyone. He hasn't been on the ring in 13 years. Comes back because of a video game and beats a dude who, regardless how much anyone likes the style of matches, has established himself as a guy who has dominated virtually everyone.

To have him lose to a guy who has went on record to reporters he's on horrible shape and didn't get into the ring until maybe 3 weeks ago is a slap in the face to the whole character they had Lesnar establish, especially when he beat 'The Streak', maybe their most prestigious feat.

Even more, it's a slap in the face to the the 10 guys who put on a hell of a match right before just to get trumped by a 2 min feel-good fest.

I'm not sure how true it is but I read that Goldberg finalized a deal to appear at/in the Royal Rumble and that played a role in deciding to have him squash Lesnar.

The thing is, if Taker, Cena, and Triple H weren't allowed to beat Lesnar clean, no NXT or full time guy would've gotten the rub, IMO. The exception to that is Roman, and that's because he was supposed to be the next Face of the company.

Thank God Takeover was last night. I wonder how the NXT alums feel. They get called up, and they still work their butts off, but most of us still feel that Takeover shows mop the floor with WWE pay per views, especially when they're in the same weekend.
