The Dark Knight WSS font?

The bloody stuff? It was used for the Morrison/McKean Arkham Asylum graphic novel, and from this site, it says that Gaspar Saladino hand-lettered it.

I love that lettering too, and I think it's fantastic that someone actually gave it a good thinking over, since not all comics have good lettering.

Your only way of "downloading" it is either hoping someone on a free-font site decides to take it up as a project, or to scan in the lettering from Arkham Asylum, messing around with it in Illustrator, and getting Fontlab (not cheap) to make it into a font.

 

If it's the typewriter typeface, one that is close is called "Adler". The only thing is that the typeface is lined up with the baseline. It isn't at different baseline heights and rotated in varied degrees.

The unfortunate thing is that the large marketing companies have their own fonts made or they create them in house. Or like Anita posted, the true artists will create their own typeface for individual projects.
