OK guys, since this issue specifically says to avoid the internet before picking up this issue, let's give them a reason to avoid us:

What will happen in the last issue?

gr18covermt0.jpg

Here are my guesses:

1. GR will be responsible for killing all the people that Satan had a plan to kill, in fact, he was the tool to set the stage for Armageddon.

2. Satan will burst out of Blaze! Since Blaze died, the last avatar is actually inside Ghost Rider! When they entered Earth a piece of Lucifer latched inside Blaze's dead body to give him life. Satan wanted him to kill the avatars and everytime he killed one GR is getting more and more powerful and out of control. This will lead to Lucifer emerging from Blaze!

3. Dixie is the last avatar! Satan banged Blaze! LOL :woot:

4. The Angels will turn against him and now Heaven will be after him so now Blaze has no more allies in Heaven or Earth.

----

Alright guys, let the rumors begin!

Saltares - YOU CANT PLAY! unless you want to give us a helpful hint hint before the issue comes out...

C'mon guys anybody else have any ideas? Cain Estrell? AVE, FLamehead? Vengeance Unbound?

Godammit boy, CONTROL YOURSELF! You’re about to give me a heart-attack!

………*Groan*……fine….I suppose I’ll go along with this crazy idea. Heh, just like Dixie said in ish #15: “We’re all going to hell anyway, right?” :cwink:

Alright, since all the pieces seem to be adding up now – the best bet would be is to look back at issues 6 & 7’s “flashback scenes”. That’s where all the mystery was first brought up, in the first place! (Man, am I glad I didn’t give’em away yet!)

I’ve been reanalyzing the whole situation, lately – and those last words Clay mentioned before he killed himself (issue #7) were..........interesting hints. When he said, “Better to reign in hell...” didn’t you get the feeling that, perhaps, he was implying about turning himself into…..well…..“SATAN”? :ninja:

Yes, I know it sounds outrageous, but…….. THINK about it! :ninja: Try to analyze this “Lucifer’s” ‘behavior’ – and compare it to Clay’s. Both guys love to pull ‘wiseguy jokes’ at JB – even referring to him as “buddy” on a few occasions. They also strike me as somewhat both “playful” and “sadistic” at the same time, for some reason. I’m not really sure myself, but -- the more I look into their characteristics, the MORE I spot the resemblance! OMG………

And then there’s that quote by Bedelstraum: “That’s what my master used to say…” Do you suppose that this “master” he was referring to is actually……MEPHISTO?!!! :ninja: Was Mephs just using Clay as his “substitute” all along -- while he’s elsewhere causing some other mayhem?!! Was all this just some “diabolical distraction” in order to sway Blaze away from his TRUE nemesis? Only time will tell…..

It’s too bad that I haven’t read issue #16 yet :csad:…. And sad to say….with all the paperwork I’ve been assigned to do at the office, lately (I’m actually typing all this from my laptop, right now) -- I don’t think the boss is gonna let me go out and buy a copy, anytime soon!!! :cmad:
But, anyway, here are some other “possible outcomes” I came up with:

1. Lucifer kills both Vraniel and Emmael, and the “Ghost Rider” inside Blaze turns out to be the REAL Lucifer, all along! After Blaze kills the second-to-the-last avatar the “Spirit” pops right out of him and reveals the truth – that Johnny Blaze, himself, has BECOME a Ghost Rider after he died. Zarathos had left him since the day he was shot dead by Clay – and after his descent to hell, Satan transformed his ‘soul’ into hellfire. Though he’s unknowingly capable of assimilating a “human form”, JB’s true self is now actually Ghost Rider! Satan laughs at how much he’s toyed with Blaze – sending the latter on a wild goose chase, only to screw him up the BIGGEST way possible. Johnny falls to his knees in despair as he realizes the shocking truth: that he’s FINALLY become the very ‘thing’ he used to house inside him, all those years ago………..

2. Jesus Christ a.k.a. “the friend” makes his SHOCKING return!!! He banishes the last avatar before it kills Blaze & the now-mortally wounded duo of Vran and Emmael. He then restores Blaze back to life, reveals that he was always watching out for the man, and vanishes after declaring that JB is now free of the devil’s bond. Blaze, while still cursed – is finally able to roam the earth without Lucifer hounding his tracks.

3. Destruction and mayhem engulf all surroundings as the trio of GR, Vraniel, and Emmael all fight hard against the fully-powered Lucifer. The two angels eventually succumb to their wounds and fall, but GR fights on. After Blaze kills the last avatar, Bedelstraum and James Strahorn return (in their true forms) – this time to reveal shocking news to Blaze: Strahorn turns out to be none other than Uriel; the very same angel who helped Noble Kale, all those centuries ago. He then goes on and explains to the now-undead Blaze what the latter has become, and his ‘importance’ in all this -- that the former stunt rider known as Johnny Blaze is now THE………*pause*….…… :ninja:

4. ZARATHOS UNLEASHED!!! After the now all-powerful Lucifer manages to overpower both Vraniel and Emmael, Blaze makes one last desperate attempt to fight back. But alas, even with “Ghost Rider” taking over Satan still gains the upper hand. Before all is lost, however – the memory of Zarathos returns and he comes back in all his maniacal glory! He then proceeds to annihilate everything in sight: Lucifer, angels, and all. When it’s all over, Blaze’s personality resurfaces and is horrified by the destruction caused by Z. He falls to his knees in despair afterwards, not knowing what to do…………..

5. Three words: Trail. Of. Tears. Mmmmmmmmm……

*Sigh*...... Well, that’s that. Back to work, for me. The only thing left I can say is…….. GOOD LUCK TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE REST!!! And, hopefully, I’ll manage to catch up before I kick from all these damn reports…….

I don't wanna get ahead of myself here but...

UGH!!!! Damn this anticipation...

1) Satan unleashed. Plain and simple; basing that on the dead angels behind GR.

2) The identity of the demon within Johnny revealed.

2) FAMILY REUNION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE RETURN OF DAN KETCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:

Cain and Doom , you both make some valid points , so to summarize ->

We all can agree that something evil is inside Ghost Rider and he doesn't know it yet.

Cain makes some good point to relate the earlier issues that I haven't reviewed in months...so now I have to look at those again. The whole time I remember the angels and demons were playing Blaze's soul like a doormat.

They had a deal to kill him, and Blaze's soul is definitely a part of this equation since it was sent to Hell. The question is...is Lucifer attatched to it?

What if Lucifer is attached to his soul and Ghost Rider kills Lucifer...killing Blaze in the process and therefore Ghost Rider is the one who no longer has a human host?

Cain - PICK UP the next issue...there are new variables in this equation you can't miss.

This is gonna kill me for months. I can't believe we have to wait until December! :cmad:

My guesses:

1. Blaze gets recruited by the angels to become a demon hunter, and spends the next few story arcs with a crescent moon on his forehead, and he uses his hellfire shotgun to dispense with rogue demons.

2. Blaze finds out that the being he is bonded with has had a child, and that child (called "Carnage Rider") has bonded with a serial killer.

3. Blaze finds out that his escape from hell was only because of Superboy-Prime's magic retcon punch.

No, I'm not serioius. I did have the idea that maybe the Rider in this case was a piece of Satan, but that's already been guessed above.

Rabid Wolfe so you agree also that the Rider has a piece of Satan in him.

Now lets say Lucifer is a part of Blaze...so Blaze had sex with Dixie...and lets say she got pregnant wouldnt Dixie now have given birth to the Anti-Christ?

LOL there is so many options here its mind blowing.

What makes you all think Satan is within Blaze?

All I can say is that if "Revelations" ends with the return of Zarathos and/or Dan Ketch, I will probably squeal with orgasmic delight right there in the comic shop, lol.

Amen to THAT :woot:

Ixnnaaaayyyyy where ya been man?!

Been offline for quite a while, Doom, but I'm back for good now. I missed you guys!

All I’ve gotta say new at the moment is that “Revelations” will ultimately usher in an entirely new era for Ghost Rider. Johnny Blaze is definitely the core player in this huge conspiracy between Heaven and Hell – and he’s still unaware of it.

Looking back at the outcome of Blaze and Lucifer’s last “heart-to-heart” conversation in issue #5, what was it about that red book John was holding that made even the devil temporarily powerless that fateful night – the very night Roxanne saved him? What did Satan mean by “you and I aren’t really that different, in the end?” And how come the answers are supposedly right in front of Blaze’s face and he just can’t see it, yet? Even more mysterious is - why didn’t that red book burnt to a crisp after Blaze destroyed the entire carnival?

^ From what I can see, all of these riddles are shaping up a startling revelation that chiefly concerns Jonathan Blaze; A revelation so powerful that - when the time comes for him to finally realize it - will change his life (or in this case, unlife), forever...

Expect issue #20 to be the true beginning of Ghost Rider Vol. 3…….

I still refer to it as Vol. 3 though, DR. :cwink:

And yes, Danny Ketch WILL come back eventually - and when that day comes, the two Ghost Riders will reunite, and the Spirits of Vengeance will BE REBORN!!!!!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

DoomRulz - LOL

Cain,

Jason Aaron made a big revelation in his last interview and said that Heaven has a big role in this and that might mean a few things:

1. The Curse of the Spirit of Vengeance was chosen for Blaze by the Big G upstairs.

2. Satan was just the tool to control it and now Heaven wants its powers back.

3. Ghost Rider will now ride to enact Vengeance on Heaven itself, which is why Jason Aaron said that he doesn't know how exactly he'll get 'there.'

Glad you agree with me:woot:

Those things you listed...

1. GOD cursed Blaze?! WTF?!?!?!?!

2. See previous comment

3. GR is goin to Heaven??

To all of that...

I'm smelling another failed GR series already.

^ It’s still better, in my opinion, compared to the story of a troubled “Average Joe” who ends up housing his own ancestor :whatever:….

Aren't we all Average Joes who have parts of our ancestors (DNA) within us? I could always relate more with Dan than with Blaze...I mean I don't have any urge to risk death via motorcycle over cars or sell my Soul to the Devil, but then again...that's just me. :)

And yeah maybe it was the big G who cursed Blaze or it was a conspiracy up in the heavens. If it was in Heaven, maybe Dr. Strange can give JB a hand to go meet out some vengeance on some good for nothing Angels like Vraniel, Ruth or Kazan.

Hm-hmm, and that’s precisely what I love so much about Jonathan Blaze! He’s just beyond any of us “Average Joes”; beyond anything a normal man can possibly do. I actually love the fact that he’s waaaaay above my reach because, quite frankly, that’s what makes him such a great character of his own!

As you boys here who know me already understand, I’m a man of literature. It’s more than just “relating to a certain character” for me; I’m more into exploring what amazing feats a single person can do that I can’t possibly perform in real life, EVER! I love the fact that Jonathan Blaze is anything but “normal”. When I was but a small child reading issue #35 (Death Race!), I immediately fell in love with Jim Starlin’s classic portrayal of Blaze. Jim proved to my eyes that – despite all the sufferings he already endured by that time – Blaze still had what it takes to impress me with his selfless heroism, and sharp wits: He dared to risk his own via saving that innocent girl’s life (and MAN, did he look cool while doing it too! :woot:); and even outsmarted the very personification of Death, himself!

^ This example is just one of the things that made John Blaze such an AMAZING character, for me. While I understand that most people probably prefer the more “reachable/common-types”, I’ll always stick to the larger-than-life ones. It’s the style of literature that I love, and the one I’m most enthusiastic about. But then again…that’s just me. :)

Yup! That’s the same impression I got when I read the interview. Again, I’m bringing back the red book I mentioned, earlier. Noticed what kind of book it was? You guessed it: the Bible! When you think of the bible, you think of the Heavens, and when you think of the heavens, you think of……..You-Know-Who.

^ When Big S pointed at ‘the thing’ and said “the answers are all right there”, care to guess what he meant? :cwink:

Now, let us return to JB and Big S’s little “buddy-talk” in that trailer. Just what did Lucy mean by, “We’re not really that different, in the end” anyway? Well, obviously he was hinting at a certain something he and Blaze have in common – and what is it? Yep, both Ghost Rider and Lucifer are all-powerful, supernatural beings the Lord Almighty created (or cursed). As any faithful Christian like me knows – Lucifer was originally God’s right-hand angel, cursed to become Hell’s “Big Daddy” due to his rebellion. In that sense, Lucy’s transformation into Satan mirrors Blaze’s own transformation into…… (Ta-ta-daa! :hyper:)…. Ghost Rider.

Heh, man soooo glad the creative team at BigM’s taking the GR mythos into an entirely new direction. All the hype surrounding this is really starting to evolve Ghost Rider – the biker from hell – into a much more flawed, brooding anti-hero; totally different from a “You fools will die!” or “I’ll save the innocents!” type. I’m counting on you, Jason Aaron……

But then again Cain, its all speculation isnt it? For all we know the big surprise is that Ghost Rider is actually owned by China.
