Four slots: costume, and then offensive/defensive/utility x-genes.
They can all be anything.

Since I need a superhero fix, I started to finally play inFamous, one of the games that I got to download for free after the whole PSN disaster. I'm loving it so far. IMO, that's what they should have tried to model X-Men Destiny after. Instead of making a game with bland levels and nothing but button smashing.
The Infamous series is an amazing one and Id defiently love to see a licensed comic franchise modelled after it. It pretty much has amazing mechanics which are tailored for that type of gameplay.

So, what's the overall verdict of the game? I haven't seen a lot of positive reviews from anyone. People are calling it a missed opportunity with the X-Men franchise. I haven't played it, but I am curious. Not $60 curious, but curious nonetheless.
inFamous is a perfect template for Spider-Man. Open world, good side missions, great boss battles. Just slap Spidey in and you win
Have you played 2 yet? It's better than 1 in every way. One of the best titles this yr, no doubt

Rent, don't buy is what I'm hearing. I don't think it terrible to not warrant a play, but it's deff not worth 60 bux
I think a weekend is more than sufficient to play through as all 3 characters.
My last issue with the game is that they billed it so that your actions will effect the outcome of the game and your choices shape your destiny. But this is not the case. You can actually choose to help the Brotherhood and the X-Men and do every mission until the second to last chapter where you must choose a side. And if you played both fields, you can choose either side and the other side will act the same as if you had never helped them at all. The choices barely change the game except for at one point where you interact with Gambit. Also, they're not really choices either. For the most part it's pretty black and white that "This is a Brotherhood" or "This is a X-Men" choice. And the one that isn't, has no ramifications besides a stern talking to by Colossus and Cyclops. That's it!
I felt the climbing and travelling around the city felt very Spidey-ish. The main thing it was missing was the swinginginFamous is a perfect template for Spider-Man. Open world, good side missions, great boss battles. Just slap Spidey in and you win
There we go. Beat it. Fun little game. Short. The story works for what it is, even though it could have had some improvements.
The game doesn't suck, by any means.
It's worth $60 given that I took enjoyment from playing it and it isn't a disastrous cluster**** of a game like people have been crying about since before its release. It's a strictly average game with some replay value.
