I don't get the mentality that a DVD isn't worth owning without features.

Whatever happened to buying a movie for the movie?

The extra features, commentary, deleted/extended scenes, behind the scenes, bloopers, etc... all add to the experience. When a dvd is bare bones and the movie was mediocre in the theatre, the is no real reason to buy the dvd imo.

i would also like to add, that even if a movie is good in theaters, and the DVD is bare bones its annoying.

I saw a preview for it on one of the TV displays in Sears back in May that said it was available on Blu-Ray and DVD now. Sounds like those previews have been ready for awhile.

the left (X-Men origins Blue Ray and DVD.) It's a really awesome clip show that's official with some great music. ^_^

Yea. I checked the circulars today and the only one I saw was a mini bust at Best Buy. But I rather have a mini comic or a face case.

Is the dvd a different cut or from that ad it gives the impression it is .. or is it just the extras!?

It is the same a the theatrical cut. Yeah, the commercial gave me the impression that it is a totally different movie but it is a lie. They have 2 short deleted scenes, Storm and Sabretooth standing over Blob, and an alternate scene of Wolverine getting his mind erased with a helmet. That is it I saw the commercial too and I was thinking maybe I will get this if it has some new stuff on it. Then someone posted what is on the dvd and it was what I expected from Fox, next to nothing..
