Even Grant Morrison thought how Cyclops acted in AvX and didn't make sense and his Grant Morrison. Nothing makes sense in his world.

^^I tried reading that four times and it still didn't make sense.... ?

Meh, I'm not sure I really care how Morrison feels about AvX. Don't get me wrong, he had a great run and all but it was only 4 years. 4 years is just a blip on the entire history of the X-Men.

Everytime chamber says "his," it's best to assume he means "he's" and can't be bothered to use the right word.

Tell you who used to be an amazing writer (a legend actually), and then returned and wrote the worst X-Men stories in history...
Chris Claremont.

Eh, I was never a huge fan... so it was even harder for me when he came back. Marvel would always give him the best characters to play with so I'd get suckered in and it was always so disappointing. :( Is he even writing anymore for anyone?

I haven't heard from Claremont since X-Men Forever... happened.

Ol' Clarey managed to write a few decent storylines when he came back to Marvel, though. Maybe half of X-Treme X-Men was okay, and I didn't hate a good portion of his run of Uncanny when he took over for Austen. And he did some of the best work with Juggernaut after he turned good, though that was all tossed in the wind and ignored as soon as New Excalibur was over.

He murdered New Excalibur. :( By the time I started reading what turned out to be an awesome series, he had just taken over and it died really fast after that. He ruined it.

Are you thinking about Exiles? Because Claremont launched New Excalibur. He also had the prior run on Excalibur when it was about Charles and Magneto rebuilding Genosha (which was also a good series).

Exiles was the book that was usually consistently good (even when Chuck Austen was on it) until Claremont took over and killed it so dead that Jeff Parker's relaunch didn't make it past 6 issues.

It's funny that Claremont's name came up. I just read an article a week ago about how he's still under an exclusive deal with Marvel and they're giving him no work to do. The topic came up at an event when someone asked him why he wasn't doing any work for DC's New 52.

I was under the impression that Claremont finished New Excalibur unless I am thinking of a different book that he jumped on and killed. That hapened to me more than once. :(

I actually liked most of Claremonts X-Men stuff (after he returned). I loved the whole Neo storyline that most didn't. His X-Treme X-Men was great for the first two years or so (through the Schism arc) though it went downhill a little after that. The last arc or two were decent but killed by Kordy's art. Then Excalibur (Magneto/Xavier) was great. I only read New Excalibur hit and miss but I liked what I read. I also liked when he came back to the X-books (again) and started that story with the Fury. I don't recall much of his run after that but liked the beginning of it.

The one major bump was Exiles, which I read maybe the first 8 issues of and hated, but then, I was pretty burnt out on the series by then due to them killing off or signifigantly changing most of my favorite charactes.

I never read his Forever stuff.

I was more forgiving of Claremont's 3rd run the second time through. I remember liking the arc with Shaw trying to rebuild the Hellfire Club. But it still wasn't all that memorable.

Bendis is doing spotlight interviews on each of the original X-men. He did Jean's already and sounds like he has a pretty good grasp on her and likes writing her. Good sign!

Cyclops looks like a boss leading magneto and Emma frost. In the all new xmen comic preview

So just like that Colossus loses the Juggernaut powers........then over in Dark Avengers Cain gets them back......kind of anticlimactic.
I have to say I was expecting a lot more of a resolution (than Peter ending up hating his sister).
And over in X-men when does that story take place in relation to Uncanny?
I thought it was strange that Colossus was injured being thrown from a plane (while he possessed the Juggernaut powers), when he has fallen from tremendous heights many times without injury ..... like waaaay back in Uncanny #95 when he was just a kid. Am I missing something?

Can someone send me a link to the preview please?

Another Jean cover. I have a feeling she will be the breakout star of this series

That's not Jean. Jean died years ago. That's some nonsense that Bendis is giving us.

You know if they wanted to bring Jean back they should have just brought back her adult self instead of a time traveling of her from when she was a teenager. You know someone at Marvel must be dying (no pun intended) to write a scene of a resurrected Jean rejecting Cyclops in the most painful and humiliating way imagianble before hooking her up with Wolverine.

Jean is back as a teenager. This sounds like the perfect opportunity for Rachel to develop a close relationship with her, after an initial phase of being creeped out by meeting one's potential future child.

I predict the two women will never meet.

And there's Hope. I want to see a scene of Teen Jean, Hope and Rachel all together. Now thats less likely to ever happen

Have Hope and Rachel even met yet? You'd think Hope would have interest in her aunt, if not another valid Phoenix host.

Jean will probably get shuffled back to the past - and by extension back to death - before she has a chance to meet either Rachel or Hope (thus robbing us of both potential comedy gold & drama gold).
