X-Men - Part 4

I'm sure the Generation X comic generated a Banshee fan or two. Clearly, none of them are writers.

So yeah volume 1 and 2 of wolverine and the xmen have been awesome. I'm loving this book.

Over on the CBR boards Jonathan Hickman has a Q& A thread and someone asked him which dead characters he'd bring back. He answered Corsair and BANSHEE. :woot:

Yes to both. Corsair shouldnt have been offed

It wouldn't be as bad if any writer since had ever thought to use it for Havok's character development.

I know, that's kind of an oxymoron in a pre-Remender handling.

For some reason I've just never really cared about Corsair. Not that I dislike him, I'm just indifferent. Banshee, however, is one of my favorite X-Men.

I'm indifferent to Corsair. I'm not into space stuff in comics.

I like Banshee. I think he was killed off because at the time writers had no idea what to do with him.

I love Banshee, I wish I could find more comics with him in stashed in my attic.

I was never huge on Banshee
But I'll admit to trying endlessly to do his scream from X-Men:TAS
I just thought it sounded so Rock'n'roll at the time
woulda been cool if they would've used that scream for X:FC
But let's not get into the long list of things I wish they woulda done with that movie

Banshee was boss! His daughter was whack. I just want a Generation X reunion..that's all (complete with Mondo, Blink, Gaia, Artie, Leech and Franklin)

I'm really surprise there hasn't been one yet. X-Corporation was the closest we got but that was a bit too soon to actually consider a reunion. It always upset me with how utilized Emma has become since joining the Xmen, she hasn't had any real interaction with her living GenX students, at least not that I recall

I can't believe how much love the New Mutants get in the X-office at Marvel while it seems like they couldn't care less at the most about most the Generation X characters.

It's the generational thing. The people at Marvel were of the New Mutants era. Fortunately, some of these newer guys coming in have expressed some interest in Generation X characters, such as Chamber. Hopefully it's a start toward some sort of reemergance of the characters or title. I never expect Skin to return but I'm really hoping that Banshee and Synch eventually find their way back.

Honestly, it wouldn't be that bad of a team. Monet's gotten a pretty good build up in X-Factor. Jubilee's changed into a vampire, which could lead to some interesting stories. Blink's back, who died saving the original team on their first (sorta) mission. Chamber's been through a LOT as a character (Weapon X, depowering, Apocalypse-face, repowering) and he and Jubilee have kept up with each other (New Warriors). Husk has grown up and is going through something over in W&tXM.

I honestly feel like maybe once Husk's story plays through, and maybe given time with whatever Peter David's doing, and the time will be primed for a Generation X reuinion. Heck, they could do a mini anytime.

I love how Magneto still calls Scott boy like his still the skinny teenager he used to go up against years ago.

Sooo...I wonder why X-Club never took Magneto and Polaris..two mutants who were depowered during M Day...and strapped them down to a table and dissected them..as they both now have their powers again..whether from Apocalypse or high Evolutionary..their abilities are there...

Polaris' powers are artificial. They simply resemble her old powers. She's not so much a mutant now as an ordinary human given superpowers.

And I'd like to see them strap Magneto down. :o

Professor X, on the other hand, proved that all they needed to do to give a mutant their powers back was harness the powers of the M'Kraan Crystal.

ANXM#3 wasn't as good as the first. Emma's dialog was awful! And it felt like there were a lot if plot holes and inconsistencies. Next issue should be better though.

One of the issues of X-Men: Legacy after they returned from space actually had Dr Nemesis confirm that she tested for an X-Gene again, somehow.

Polaris spent the last several years lost in space. She wasnt around for the X-Club's investigation into reversing M-day

Yeah, I'm just taking the fan wank explanation that somehow Apocy's celestial tech worked its way far enough into her system that it jumpstarted it again.

not too much of a stretch considering mutantkind was created by the Celestials. Whether she is or isnt a mutant kind of seems like a moot point now anyway
