X-Men - Part 5

Iceman has used his powers in the past to augment his size and strength. In fact he's currently been doing that in recent books. He's been trapped in his ice form before so trapped in ice form while being bulky doesn't seem farfetched

No his future form isn't just trapped in the Ice form. He's not human. He roars and looks like a cross between Ice Man and and the Krakoa. That ain't natural.

Is there a Legacy thread? I love that book but haven't seen a thread for it

Yeah, his appearance is excusable. I wanna know why he's a monster incapable of speech.

I REALLY love that Scott and Jean are sticking by each other in this arc. It should be interesting to see how the adult Scott reacts to being around the two of them and if it will remind him of what he's lost. Cant wait till he comes face to face with the Xorn helmet and to see it being an adult Jean underneath there

But what if young Scott is not following young Jean of his own free will? What if she's using her telepathy to make Scott do what she wants so she can have that extra sense of security and control? You have to admit there's something a little... iffy about the look she gives him in that panel, perhaps a hint of something sinister under the surface.

Or just me reading into it too much. :cwink:

If she was willing to use telepathy, I think she'd have used it on Hank...who was her first choice to run away with.

*snap*

I don't trust past Jean at all. I think she's very interesting right now, but also sketchy and non trustworthy. Someone needs to give past or future Scott a break at some point. Dudes always getting screwed over.

This crossover event is very fun so far. It is successfully pulling me into the X-men universe.

I am really enjoying Battle of the Atom and can't wait to see where it goes. It's really appealing to the Scott/Jean fan in me. I also love this twisted use of the Xorn mask. It's a super cool concept, though I wish Jean didn't have to stay hidden under it. Just one more indicator that adult Jean won't be back for a while.

Bendis has been doin a great job so far. I had my doubts when they announced he was coming over to the franchise but he's got a firm grasp on it.

I know some people will be happy about this:

Hmm. The book was on my potential drop list, but Monet might just make me hang on a little longer.

Nice. Forgot about M.

Think we have X-23 joining All New X-Men too. I won't be dropping either of these now. Damn it.

Any plans for Sage?

I was barely holding on for Jubilee. But now Monet's joining. That's TWO Generation Xers in ONE BOOK!!!! And Woods is a big fan of Gen X and has stated that he'd like to write a Generation X book. So you know he'll give these two girls some justice. Now hopefully Husk makes her way here.

Yeah, right when it was starting to get good again prior to the title being canceled.
I know its an all girl team and thats the premise, but I hope he finds a way to bring back Synch, at least so other writers can use him. Synch can play a supporting role in this book, giving insight to Monet's personal life when she's not a superheroine. I also vote for Blink making appearances here

I hope they drop that Darwin and Monet thing. I have no interest in that relationship.
