X-Men - Part 7

Bunn said there will be a triangle but I hope its not Jimmy, Jean, Scott. ANX v2 19 had Jean friendzone Scott and Prime hinted at Warren showing interest in her. Considering Bunn wrote that, Im hoping the triangle is Jimmy, Jean, Warren instead of the obvious
Didn't Bunn say that Jimmy would be attracted to Jean and Cyclops would have an issue with that. I'm praying that there is a twist or that somehow Bunn writes Jimmy into an interesting character.
Does Marvel even communicate in house any more to keep any continuity or are editors just worried about their latest social justice experiment?
broken record.

Yeah rehash oh boy. I was afraid of this no matter how you do it'll be a rehash cause the writer always head there it's only few that do some thing truly different . they're better off if they did with jimmy what they did with one of the alternate versions of wolverine that was in a relationship with Hercules and put him with young ice man
250

I think that he was called howlett

Governor-General Howlett(Earth-12025)

Multiversal X-Men AKA X-Treme x-men

other wise he's too much like Logan and what Thomas did to john Hewlett saying a girl or woman he just met after the other guy did was his from the start and which started all in the first place in the first wolverine origins which mean's this a family bad habit/
disease
these guy's pass down through their genes in wolverine blood line. It's past time the cycle breaks. I hope young jean turn them all down and date out of the team and organization. I hope they do as well.

Gold #2 has been delayed one week, so we're getting both Gold #2 and Blue #2 on April 26. Of course that instantly stirred rumors that Marvel has found more hidden messages and is doing a reprint.

Probably wanted some extra time to go over it. Just to be sure.

That Jean Grey 2 cover looks good. I won't be reading it though.

Jean Grey is gonna be the best ressurxion title!

So there's a new and stronger type of Sentinel and a new X-Cutioner? X-Men Gold is continuing to rehash things!

Yeah it's clear that Gold is for people who want to see these classic stories retold in the contemporary. Considering how much complaining I've heard in the last ten years about the X-men moving too far away from their roots, I think there's definitely a market for Gold.

I'm personally hoping Emma gets her own book with Magik and maybe Hellion or some other inspired choices.

awesome cover it's weird xavier missing since he had the phoenix force with in him self while traveling with Lilandra during their first event with the brood . But it was a smaller piece of the phoenix then the others I guess .

The cover artist is pretty selective with who has been a host. There are a lot of randos who I'm glad got left out. I'd hate the Phoenix 5 being there if they didn't have the cool designs that they had (and I hate to admit that).

Some info from C2E2:

Honestly, the X-books are in really good shape in Resurrxion, and I hope they're reflected in the sales. I'm looking forward to a lot here.

The Jean/Jimmy/Scott triangle nearly kills my interest in Blue, but the art and the Magneto/Jean dynamic is too good to pass up

The cover features all the relevant Phoenix's which is what matters. I think it fits quite well

The first major panel of C2E2 2017 is Marvel Comics' ResurrXion. Marvel's Chris D'Lando will moderate a panel scheduled to include writers Marc Guggenheim, Matthew Rosenberg, and Charles Soule, as well as editors Nick Lowe, Wil Moss, and Christina Harrington. With the ResurrXion line encompassing both the X-Men and Inhumans titles, look for talk about both - as well as the newly-announced Inhumans: Once & Future Kings.
And as part of Newsarama’s live coverage of C2E2, readers can follow along with our play-by-play below:
14:16
Welcome to Marvel's RESURRXION Panel live from C2E2 2016 which will bring together creators from Marvel's new X-Men and Inhumans lines to talk about what's ahead in ResurrXion.

14:31
On the panel are Charles Soule, Matthew Rosenberg, Marc Guggenheim, editor Wil Moss, editor Nick Lowe, Ken Lashley, and editor Christina Harrington.

14:32
First up, Guggenheim talked about X-Men: Gold, which received a lukewarm response from the audience.

14:32
He discussed the new Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. "I like to call them the Brotherhood of Self-Aware Mutants."

14:33
We'll find out why they identify as "Evil Mutants" in X-Men: Gold #3.

14:33
"These are the X-Men I grew up with," said Guggenheim, who said his first X-Men comic book was Uncanny X-Men #139.

14:34
Guggenheim talked about taking responsibility for the X-Men, while Kitty Pryde did the same thing. "I've been with the X-Men as long as Kitty has."

14:34
"I feel like our experience overlap. And we're both Jewish - and cute!" he joked.

14:35
Guggenheim said he's planting a seed with a new character that will pay off around X-Men: Gold #20.

14:36
Guggenheim talked about bringing Kitty Pryde and Colossus back together, saying that he and Ken Lashley will do a done-in-one story focusing on the former couple.

14:37
An upcoming story features Gambit botching a heist which leads to the accidental creation of nanotech Sentinels. "It's gonna push the X-Men to their limits - especially Rachel."

14:38
Lashley talked about working on X-Men, saying the franchise got him into comics.

14:38
"I actually cried when I got this book. I've been around for a long time, and I've always dreamt of drawing X-Men."

14:39
Lashley said that Colossus is his favorite character, "so when you see him he's always a little bit bigger than everyone else."

14:40
Lashley said he knows exactly how to draw the X-Men. "I've got this. I'm 100% the guy for this job."

14:41
Guggenheim teased that the Gambit arc will also have a strong effect on Colossus. "I'm getting back to the basics, but one of the constants of the X-Men is change."

14:42
Guggenheim called his arc with Lashley "a locked room horror story." It will introduce a new X-Cutioner, who is "kind of like Punisher, if he only targeted mutants."

14:42
X-Cutioner will be locked in the X-Mansion trying to kill the X-Men.

14:42
The panel joked about starting a fight between X-Men: Blue and X-Men: Gold fans.

14:43
Harrington talked about working on a book featuring Jean Grey, which she said was a lifelong dream.

I'm stopping there cause it's too much and don''t want dis rup the thread

I'm glad we're getting X-men panels again.

I hated when the X-men were a footnote in an Inhuman panel.

So really are getting Kitty and Pete again. sigh

It's a one-and-done story so maybe it won't have lasting consequences?

is Magik on the roster in any of the current, or upcoming, X titles?

there's not big mention of her but i'm sure she'll show up but we'll be seeing her in games . so that's a one off of sorts .

I imagine they may try another New Mutant book with the classic characters again around the time of the movie. So, she may be off limits for now.
