X-Men - Part 7

I've seen a few articles. So, maybe it isn't legit. We will see.

And honestly, bringing Jean back and leaving Scott dead would be a pleasant change.

IA. I think Schism would have worked better had it been Jean and Wolverine. I actually think now would be an amazing time to explore her in the X-world, with her 3 male figures (Scott, Wolverine and Xavier) all dead. She really should have been the character to lead the X-men into ResurrXion, not Kitty, but hopefully Guggenheim wont get to write her

Jean,Ororo and Betsy should be the new big three!

Include Rogue, if she becomes a full time X-Woman.

Its happening :D

Hopefully this would be more memorable than Gold & Blue and better than IvX.

If this is anything like a Marvel Comics return, she'll return and act absolutely NOTHING like the Jean Grey we knew and loved. (see: Ben Reilly)

Of course. The answer to Marvel's problems is not to tell new and creative stories, but to bring back old characters. AGAIN! That will make EVERYTHING better!

You dont know what stories they will tell with Jean. No one does. Now is the perfect time to bring her back with Xavier, Logan and Scott dead as this will oppurtunity will never present itself again. That in and of itself is a story worth telling

So now we have another Storm kickin around too?? Solicits seem to indicate the mutant x version is sticking around... soo tired of all the multiples running around

Just take the O5, jimmy hudson, bloodstorm, and old man logan, put em in a rocket and launch it into the sun, along with all the living spidey clones, and maybe Daken for good measure

Marvel seems to have an obsession with knock offs and alternate reality versions this decade. Like they existed in the past decades, but right now it just seems too much.

I just don't get why most of the well known Marvel heroes right now have someone taking their mantle/identity. Why can't they just create someone new and build that character with the help of cartoons, videogames and movies?

Like after this decade, the new faces of the team, that I would remember from this decade are the time displaced O5, Old man Logan, female Wolverine and maybe Blood Storm. Geez Marvel.

I don't mind all the shenanigans with the time-lines. Alternative characters can be really fun and shake things up. The only problem I have with Bloodstorm is that Storm is in a book and is getting zero attention. That's Guggenheim's fault, not Bunn's though.

Awe leave Daken out of this. He needs to stay so he can be Iceman's antagonist.

The main thing i hate about him is just his design, feels so lazy
"Wolverine, but with 90's tribal tattoos!... oh and a fluffy mohawk!.. oh and how bout this... you ready?... wrist claw. Awww yeaa."

Didnt he die? How was he brought back and where?

The Apocalypse Twins revived him. Not sure what happened to him after that arc in Uncanny, though. I know he showed up in Wolverines.

I initially thought the voice in Jean's head was Emma but #7 killed that theory. Im convinced now that ghost Jean is actually Xorna.

Whatever is going on in Jean's comic is weeirrrd (especially considering Phoenix Resurrection in December). But I'm into it. I think that's a neat theory! Why would she be wearing Morrison-Jean clothes, though? I think it might also be a persona that teen Jean's unconscious has projected.

Red herring to throw the readers off?

That would be annoying on Hopeless's part lol

Okay, finally caught up on my books.

X-men Gold: I think I am going to give it the Mojoworld arc to pick up. Its kind of losing me. And having Guggenheim go all Olicity on Kitty and Piotr is off turning. Also turning non-Melloncamp into literal Space Hitler is... bad.

X-men Blue: Still enjoyable. Looks like they are acknowledging the Jean Grey series. Still quite enjoyable. And I get a kick out of the Hex-men pun. Also, good to see Bloodstorm again.

Astonishing: Quite good, even though heavy focus on Old Man Logan was a bit of a disapointment.

Jean Grey: Did not expect that was where they were going with the upcoming Psychic War arc. Great surprises, though I wonder how much he knew about Jean's resurrection coming.

So, they are bringing back the original Wolverine.

@#$@%^#$%$%&@#^

So are they getting rid of Old Man Logan? Or are we going to be having Old Man Logan, Logan, Laura, and Jimmy running around in ALL the Marvel books.

I dont care about the plans
I dont care that some people will be salty and whine about over-exposure

This is the best piece of news ive gotten on an otherwise very s***ty day
So thank you Marvel, i really needed that

Ugh. I wish Logan would stay dead.

I was hoping Jean would be alive without Logan and Cyclops around.

Spoilers, people! Spoilers!

I mean, that's great news but I actively go out of my way to NOT read things like that.

And on a completely unrelated (on second thought... completely related) note. I found THIS wiki entry that tells you all the dead Marvel characters. I assume it's not complete, but there are some pretty obscure characters on here. That said, there are so many minor X-Men characters that I use to love but have forgotten were dead. I mean, I know it means little... but still.

Peepers? What monster would kill off Peepers?!

Paradigm? I apparently missed that whole arc or something because I didn't know anything about that, but I loved him and the rest of the New Hellions in that arc of X-Force.

Matsu'o? How did I not remember that? I loved him in the 90s.

Hmmm... I never really saw Avalanche's death scene in Astonishing X-Men as an actual death.

I wasn't much on her, but Candra died in a random issue of Scarlet Spider?

Crimson Commando :(

Feral?! I didn't know she died. I'm sure she had it coming, but I wasn't reading Wolverine at that time.

G.W. Bridge died in a Punisher book. That's weird.

Gateway?!!! I read Uncanny X-Force! How did that not stick with me?! I loved him in Generation X!

Locus from the Mutant Liberation Front. Freakin' Sabretooth.

Wildchild died?! I apparently missed that whole run of Wolverine.

well that was happening before doom made break world. I only like half of them.I don't really hate any character though. but the invasion from alternate realities was happening before during and after break world.

as to Wolverine the original I have no problem with him. However, I do know after my youngest sister brought me the comic of how doom started to make break world. part of it was due to sue Richards asking Wolverine to help and they met hank on that time travel adventure and Wolverine went and killed hank pimp, which sue saw a mistake cause the writers making wolverine misunderstanding thing's just like when he gave captain America bad info on the Phoenix force during AVX the phoenix saga ( and there were captain Britan beast and xavier the later of which was an avatar of the Phoenix during his time with lilandra, that have good experiences with the cosmic entity, yet cap only spoke to wolverine ) anyways wolverine misunderstood what hank pim was doing and killed him . and they had to have a time travel fix of things and doom used that reason to create the multiple realities thing where every hero was scattered in alternate realities .

I don't hate him. but he did a number on the MU himself next to the others like tony and Hawk eye. and if they take the path of maria hill where she knew the deal with dead pool and still chose to screw him over. ... the writer said during secret empire that the heroes were supposed to take notice of the poor chose's they made with how they treated their allies and friends. but I'm wondering about certain characters that always have certain bad habits. And since she did that those three...

As to old man Logan, the only reason he exists's is cause the current day writers were all students of Joe q's love for Wolverine. and most of them are poor writers with the exception of few. This is why there's wolverine child from the ultimate verse in X-men blue. so it's hard for me to I missed him.

I don't hate him. But I didn't miss him either. And not cause of what people would think. it's the stuff they make him do, the event's like helping break world to happen of all things.
