X3 Books next year (Spoiler on the movie)!

Why do so many of you find the idea of Rogue joining the brotherhood to be so impossible? Even if she does join, it doesn't mean she's gonna stay there. I highly doubt she'll turn "evil" or something.

It's the theory that this "Rogue finds a Home" title means she is joining the Brotherhood that we find impossible. Again, the book comes out about a month before the movie. It would be a rather dumb move to put something that would be a rather decent sized plot point out that early and would completely kill that part of the movie as far as suspense was concerned.

you guys are all wrong... the spoiler here is x-men 3: i can read... thats why juggy is mad! he cant read and chuckie x teaches him how!

Since there's no synopsis and the fact that it comes out before the movie, I'd bet anything that it has to deal with the time between when she ran away from her original home until she came to live with the X-Men, from back in X1. There's no way that they would release something that would have major movie spoilers in it before the film came out.

The prequels for X1 already show what happened to Rogue since she ran away from home. A huge chunk of that never made the movie. She was captured, held with various other mutants and escaped.

This book will *probably* show how she comes to learn her home is with the X-Men as a mutant accepting her abilities.

The books always seem to come out just before the movie. I always buy them before, in case they sell out, but put them aside until after the movie so that I don't spoil myself with too many details.

You're all saying how they wouldn't release a spoilerish book a month before the movie comes out.

Umm... I bought Star Wars Eps. I-III in the last week of April, and those all came out in May.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the X2 novelization came out at the end of April as well. I recall reading it, getting all pumped about seeing Gambit, Psylocke, and Bobby's ice form, and then being kind of disappointed by the movie.

If you recall, they altered the ending of the X2 novel so as not to spoil the movie.

considering that book is for ages 4-8, i dont really think its going to have spoilers. Its going to be a kid friendly book where rogue joins the x men and finally has a home

It's so nice that they took the time to mention Cyclops in these . . . oh wait they've completely ignored him, big surprise. Which begs the question again have any of these people read an X-Men comic?

If there is a new set of X-Men films like X4-X6, I would believe that Psylocke is too big of a character to not include.

Brett said he will be doing 3, 4 and 5 and Apacolypse will apear in 4 or 5.

Scholastic does the "Pre-Release" for every movie. Batman, X-men 1 and 2, star wars 1-6, spiderman 1 and 2, daredevil, electra, hulk, punisher. They had the big version and the little version containing photos in the middle of the book (thats why I bout star wars 3 in the little version because it came with 6 pages of colour screenshots in the middle of the book) So I believe it will come out a month or two before the film.

Which is entertaining because on occasion those pics in the middle of the book have shots that are from deleted scenes or alternate takes :)

dude, what if she loses her powers, and then goes home to her family? bwahaha

haha awesome Gambit had braces!
wonder what all the people who think Gambit is sexy have to say about that picture...

they will refer to them as a trademark. just his trade mark coat, his trademark staff, his trademark gloves, his traemark girly pink body armour, his trademark shiny jackboots, in fact his trademark everything (except personality)

as for Roguie finds a home, perhaps itll be one of the preview comics like they did for the other two movies? Rogue accepting her place in the Xmen ect??

*over dramatic, slow motion* NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Don't even joke like that...

newwaveboy87 well anyway back on topic... Claremont is writting the novelization again eh? looks like this book too is going to veer off into comic-book-land again and screw with the movie continuity.[/QUOTE said:
I was thinking the same thing. I guess that means that Wolverine will be a short ugly troll, Rogue will be a 15 year old, and Jean will keep reminding herself and the readers that she's a DOCTOR!

Why Claremont? A chimp with a laptop could write a better novelization.

Storm will have long flowing hair, be six feet tall, and have blue cat eyes.
Rogue will be a red head, with bright emerald eyes, and a thick as all hell Southern accent.
random mutant cameos will occur that won't happen in the movie - i'm excited.

UPDATE
More books are now available for pre-order at Amazon. I'm starting to think that Rogue's role is bigger than the last film and this explains her getting a book.

I hope no one's expecting either of those last two books to be any kind of hardcore stuff. Look at the stats for it. Ages 4-8. 24 pages. Most of the author's past work is Disney books, and all the rest aren't much better. These are just kiddie books. Heck, a good chunk of those on the first page are the same way.
