I enjoyed the movie. I don't understand all the hate. If anything, I just wish they hadn't felt the need to finalize everything, as has become the norm for Marvel 3rd acts.

I really liked the movie and thought it fit well with the other two, yes I felt the movie had some problems but I feel the same way about the first two films as well. All in all though IMO it's a good trilogy.

I think the movie's saving grace is its energetic drama and visceral action, especially the fight at Jean's house and the Alcatraz scenes which, combined with the fantastic score, made the film quite operatic in places, as one critic did note. More scenes with Phoenix and Angel would have rounded it off better, but i think parts of it were terrifically powerful and spectacular.

This will be my only post in this thread because I am not a defender of the movie, as many people on here know, I hate it with a passion.

But DAMN, those posters you posted CW were awesome at the time and were the closest thing to getting me excited about the movie. The atmosphere and epicness they portray was sorely lacking in the movie, but damn they are cool. One thing you cant fault Fox in regards to their CB movies is the marketing of them, thats for sure.

I couldn't find it, which is one of the reasons why I started this. The much-maligned "Spider-Man 3" has its own defense thread, & I felt it was due here.

well i didn't hate the movie, but i was nowhere near as satisified as i was with the other much-loved movies (X2, Spider-Man, Iron Man, etc). looking at the X-films as a trilogy it think it was fitting ending, and i can easily pop in the dvd and and just enjoy it. like posted above, the best thing about it was it gave you that balls-to-the-wall action the other two didn't have. but my biggest gripe about it was they easily could have added 20 min to the film to develop the new team.

and then i really start to analyze it and compare it with other work and thats when the bad feelings come around...

I got to say, that’s the one thing I hate the most about the complaints I hear of this movie (and SM3 for that matter, too) I can understand alot of the complaints about them (though, I still disagree with most of them) , but, the fact that people always talk about how bad they are in comparison to the first 2, is what really gets to me, as if the first two were so, freakin prefect...

I guess, ironically, that’s exact why I liked 3, though, cause, I didn't really care for the style of the first two (of both the X-men, and SM)
so, I really liked seeing it take a different direction

You realize more than half of these are fake right? Like they'd every give Colossus his own poster, much less story arc.

And the Xavier one gets me every time, "Take a Stand"

i liked the movie... thought it was pretty good. It was the worst of the 3 but wasnt that bad. Anyways i think people hate on X3 and SM3 so much cause they followed the 2 best movies of the trilogy... its kinda like when/if a followup to TDK comes out, i bet there are more haters than anything

Here is one of the biggest reasons as to why X-Men 3: The Last Stand was garbage......

They turned The Juggernaut into a frakkin' MUTANT!

Or, how about I touch again on them killing off Cyclops in record fashion?

Or, did you prefer it when Angel showed up at the Mansion, and how Beast looked at him as though he was a complete stranger?

(I mean, with that apparent ignorance in X-3, how the hell can they even talk about making an X-Men First Class film?)

Oh, that's right, Hollywood only care$ about making money!
