MAD about X-men

Here's my latest MAD cover parodying the X-men 3 movie, with Alfred as Wolverine giving a quick haircut to Beast, Professor X, Storm and Cyclops in the foreground. All the characters were digitally painted separately using the 'paperboy' method I explained a few blog entries ago (see Tutorials), then compiled in Photoshop for the final art. Also I've included a closeup of the Beast, who I think turned out the best of the lot.

EDIT: Upon the MAD art director's request, I've changed the background colour from green to blue. I think this works better.

Notice how James Bond is positioned right above Hugh while he's kind of dressed like 007?:woot:

He was always a frontrunner for me to play 007. He just has the charisma and looks to portray Bond in my opinion.

But he didn't get it. :(

:wow: :wow: Thank you so much once again for the link/pix Retro!!Do you know if this was published/and if so, in which issue was it? I surely missed it... I posted a reply on the guy's blog but I doubt he'll ever answer...

He's definetly got the chops for the role but i think in the long its better that someone like like Daniel Craig (a very good actor) got it.Jackman already has one iconic fictional character to his name so he can't reall complain.

And its not like he's been sitting still since the whole Bond thing.:ninja:

And he was one of the voices in "Happy Feet," which kept beating "Casino Royale" on it's first two weekend in the US (even if by just a little).

But Daniel Craig is an excellent Bond.

Agreed though i still have soft spot for the ultra cool and suave Brosnan Bond.

Hugh was awesome in Happy Feet. Ironically, I saw Flushed Away on the same week.

Hugh is a very good voice actor. His voice was barely noticeable in each movie and the two characters sounded nothing like each other...He's gonna get a lot of VO work in the future..

^^I had little doubt he would.:yay: He is very talented.

FILMINK Magazine (Australia) - Current issue

35251yw2.gif

He’s currently starring in about fifty-seven movies, he’s still hot off a triumphant season of the smash stage show The Boy From Oz, he’s kick started his own production company, and everybody loves him…who else could be on the cover of ’s bumper double issue than unofficial “man of the year” HUGH JACKMAN?

^^Thanks narrows. 2006 is undeniably Hugh Jackman's year.
