I can't really put people's words to me or anyone else for that matter over the internet. Soo, you'll just have to go one with your actual proof, it's sad to say.
I'm just going by what I'm hearing from friends/customers/family.
I actually know of a friend/fellow employee who was sitting right beside me during MI:3 laughing his ass off as Supes trailer. He turned and looked at me and said. ''Man, that **** is so cheesy looking."
And I got a different reaction from everyone else. So friends and family aren't a judge are they?
And no offense but on the internet you can't judge fans opinions on differing movies. I could easily say "I showed the X-3 trailer to a bunch of co-workers and they all laughed at how ridiculous and serious it tried to be" even though that never happened but because I didn't want it to do as well as what I said was "my movie". So I always see fanboy(yes I am a fanboy) sayings like that and frankly. It's not true a good 95% of the time or just plain exagerated. Not saying you are.
I also happen to think expecting a movie to do certain buissness is also ridicuous and trivial. No matter what you'll always be let down. And over the past year with BO attendance that's most certain. Hell look at MI: 3. People are saying it bombed. It's been out since friday and is still doing fine buissness. It didn't bomb nor really did poorly.
I know a dude who saw X1 and hated it, never saw X2, had no interest in Spider-Man 1 or 2, and thinks both X3 and Superman Returns will (creative) failures. Does that mean, that's a proper indication of those films? Not at all.

Oh no. I'm not saying this because of X3 at all. But all in all in due time, you'll see that Supes/Da Vinci are not going to be this massive blockbusters they are expected to be. They won't be flops persay, but they will disappoint.
And you're stating that as it's written in stone fact. Which IMO is stupid and childish. In that way of thinking X-3 will also not be the blockbuster it's expected to be. Same with Spiderman 3 or anyother. Da Vinci won't be huge. It might be, but it's not one of "Those" movies. Like SR or X-3 which will be because they're "those" movies. Larger mass appeal. One's ****ing Superman the other is a sequel to a highley successful franchise that's been expertly done. And it's ****ing X-men.
I know it seems stupid I'm defending these things but I hate it when people do this. "Movie x won't do as good as people expect and movie y will do better than movie x" I know you're not doing that but I'm getting flashbacks.
And flashbacks to interforum wars against people who can't seem to grasp what a comic film is and that it's not a "marvel film" and "DC film" But we won't get into those idiots.
I'm not saying SR and Do Vinci will make 200 million dollars in 2 days or some **** like that. Let a movie come out. if it does well it does well but don't go around saying "it should have made this much" Cause then you're just a spider-man fan(movies rival God btw).
I could have probobly said all that better but it's 6:30 in the morning
