That's my official position. X3 is non cannon, as far as I'm concerned.

It can join the ranks of Superman III and Batman Forever, in the irrelivant pile of comic book movies.

I will not see it again, I will not buy the DVD.

Join me in forgetting this aboration of a movie, ever happened.

Dont forget to include C.H.U.D. 2 in that list!

Let me add that perhaps, someday, somone will follow in Singers footsteps as he did to Richard Donners Superman, and give us a real sequal to X1 and X2.

Im sorry to have been right though.

Well I apologize if I ever flamed you. I knew this movie was headed south when I heard the AICN script review, and pretty much everything except the Logan/Stom sex scenes happened in this movie.

I was afraid it will kill x-1 and x-2 for me, but it was so soulless I'll have no prob ignoring it.
I couldn't feel nothing during x-3. Not even anger. It was so dull. :down :o

i think having logan and storm together would've helped the story, mainly because we can get over the whole triangle that existed between scott and jean. if cyclops was able to live, he would've been the one chasing after jean and at least logan would have storm.. and they are the biggest stars of the film, so y not .. :sigH:.. i cant believe after all the *****ing by people that they kept the scipt in tact. i really cant wait to see what the box office numbers hold for x3

Really? I was happily numb. But watching SM2 isn't a bad idea :D

I really feel sorry about the fan boys. So you're going to leave your favorite xmen to us non-comic fans?

I'm positive this is why Vaughn left. I think he wanted to rewrite the script or select a different script and Lauren Schuler Donner wouldn't allow him to do it for budget reasons.

They were so hardpressed to make the release date, that nothing else mattered. The integrity of the script, the availibility of the actors.

They diliberately lied to the fans, thinking that once we saw a final product we would shut our mouths.

They have reaped what they have sewn.

My guess is this will do well this weekend, but there will be a huge drop off in week 2.

Watching the movie the thought occured that this was why Vaughn left as well. This script is terrible LMFAO.

That's my fear as well: that I won't be able to watch x1 and x2 without a reminder of how it's going to end in the movie-verse.

Of course, denial is a wonderful thing.

And as far as I'm concerned, Scott got knocked out when the rising Phoenix flung him back - the rest is just a fevered dream brought on by his connection to Jean warning him of what's to come unless he gets his mourning self in gear.

It will be hard watching those movies, and I don't think I'll be able to do it for a while. But like Superman III and Batman Forever, eventually you just forget about them.

The only reason this film isn't forgettable, is the fact that it's so disturbing how they screwed it up.

Actually a better comparision would be Matrix Revolutions. The first movie was so awesome, the second one was a bit too action oriented, but still very enjoyable.

The third one came and I walked out of the theater with a WTF?? look on my face that lasted a week. I haven't watched Revolutions since.

Vaughn wrote alot in what is playing right now? I would have to see a source for that one.

After watching the film for a second time tonight, I have come to the conclussion that it actually kicks all kinds of ass.

Penn & Kinberg did state that a lot of his ideas were kept. Which ones, I dunno.

I'm glad you can enjoy it, there's no way I can.

I thought I wouldn't like the film because of what the did to Scott. I didn't realize there would be 100 things worse than what they did to Scott.
