what do you think. ? I thought it had more action. less Rouge :) (sorry they did her wrong threw all the movies.) it had more emotion . A brief but good story line.:) and other movies what real powers did you see displayed ? not hardly any. this one was the winner hands down.

Except the first two had story, characters and raised interesting and intelligent questions through well thought out dialogue and plot....sorry you lose.

The ONLY reason this movie was better than...say...Daredevil, was the x-men name and the things it HAD to keep from the first 2 movies.

If Ratner and co. started from scratch with this script it would go down in history as right behind HULK in the bad superhero movie list.

Good ideas do NOT = a good movie.

in order, starting with the best... x2, x1................................. x3

Actually this one I found to be more real when it came to the violence. Magneto seemed more like Magneto to me.

I definitely liked this one better then the first X-Men, but I don't think it was better then X2.

It was still a great film though.

OMFG I was so disappointed, and still am.

The only things I liked were the Xavier and Jean battle, Mystique, Magneto chess scene and when Rogue got off the bus seeing all those 'No Cure' signs. That's all. Everything was a big mess, choppy and underwhelming. Cyclops and Rogue just got screwed over. Wolverine got the spotlight once again.

:down Being the biggest X-Nerd, I am truly disappointed.:(

NO way better than 1 or 2

It's better than 1 and 2 ONLY in the action department. That's it.
Although it did have 2 or 3 intense shocking and emotional moments.

It was better than 2/3 in the mutants and using their powers....but yeah we didnt ever even get to see rogue fly... and cykie...well it was a great 7.5 mins...and way to go Mr.Grammer on Beast.

i just got back from the theatre
and X3 was bad real bad it does not have the tone of x1 and x2, it feels too rushed, no characters developement so ever, the last battle was ok but from some reason all the bad guys dies with one hit from the heroes it just feels weird,
ratner's direction is so bland you feel like a news cameraman would have done the same
script is mixed and doesnt feel like an x-men movie it feels more fantastic fourish
the actors did a good job though, the music was good but X3 is definetly worse of the three
im so disappointed except the action this movie almost a batman forever
i will give it a D

There was almost no character development. It was like fight, somebody diees, three lines, fight, somebody dies, ten lines, fight, lines, fight, somebody dies over. It did not have the depth of the previous movies. Hopefully there will be an X4 with a new director who will not make it the Storm and wolverine show with apperances by the X-men. X2 was the best.

i cant agree more with you.

Most of the development seemed to have been carried through the course of the three films while focusing on our main protagonists, like Wolverine, Storm, Beast, Jean, Xavier, and Magneto...Most of the others didn't really need as much as the others, but could've had more ( Rogue, Bobby, Kitty)...It kinda reminds me of the SW and LOTR movies...some characters would have consistently small sized roles throughout all films or some would be focused on significantly more in one film than the other two..

It's a bit of an exaggeration to say that there was almost NO character development (possibly at least in relation to the previous films)...

:up:The movie wasn't bad. It was just 20 minutes too short. For some reason Bret Ratner didn't bother to give us more moments of character development that made X2 great. This is definitely the Return of the Jedi of the X-men triliogy. The story was just there to move us from one action scene to the other. Still ROTJ and X3 were fun movies. Both provided a satisfying end to the franchise despite how weak the whole movie is.

Definitely X3 is Better than X1 and X2.

I've seen X1 and X2 like a hundred times, and I've only seen X3 once, so I can't make a firm judgement on where I would place X3 among them..

As of right now, I'd put X3 on the same level as X1...As of right now anyway..

Here, here! This movie had poor acting, a poor story, some redeaming scenes and characters, but nothing of real substance. A case could be made for both the first and second movies on these counts, but not for this one. I was entertained, but only at an elementary level, whereas the other movies were thought provoking and drew me in.

But that's why it IS bad. It is 20 (and I would argue 45) minutes too short. That's not a "Get out of sucky ratings free card." It is not good the way it is, so it is bad.

Even though i havent seen the film, theres always a few folks who say over the top stuff like that (t3 ;) ) but the consensus says otherwise: at best its better than x1.

X2 is still the king but subsequent viewings will determine if X3 and X1 are comparable or if one is truly superior to the other.

My younger brother liked this one better(shrugs).

Im with TNC on this one, but I would actually rank it X2, X3, X1. Ratner was given everything he wanted, except time, both movie wise and filming wise. If he had more time, I easily think this could have been insanely great.

X-1 and X-2 were all story and decent action.

X-3 had a good but underdeveloped story and the most incredible superhero action in movie history that completely blows away X-1 and X-2 put together.

One of the best scenes is when the X-Men arrive on Alcatraz in total comicbook/cartoon superhero fashion.
Straight up no Bryan Singer-afraid-to-make-a-superhero-movie-bullsh:t!
We finally got a live-action superhero team movie.
It just needed an extra half hour.

x3 was all fast pace action w/ effects.

x1 and x2 had time for characters to develop and let the story build up.

i think we haven't seen the best x-men yet. hopefully 4 will have new blood in all production. So they can have time to make a good solid story.

i just second this... i am sorry to sadden you people that dont like singer.... but i cant wait for superman... i bet it will be longer then 1hour and 36 minutes

Just To Start, Superman Looks Horrible. You Gotta Be A DC Fanboy, Or Plain Gay To Want To See That. X-Fans Should Boycott The Film Just To Show Our Devotion To Good X-Films With Or Without Him. With That Said. I Loved X3. There's Too Many Spoiled Movie Critics In These Forums. X3 Wuz A Great Movie. Yes It Wuz Rushed, But It Wuz Because The Last Two Were Slow. Too Many People Repeat The Same Character Development Line. Sound Like Morons. We Know The Characters. We Know How X-Movies Go. I Wanted Fast Paced Comic Book Action This Time Around & I Got It. Rouge'll Get Her Powers In X4 & Get More Screentime Along With Cyclops. The Cure Is Temporary. This Cast Is Gonna Rotate & Switch For Years To Come...
X3, X2, X1...In That Order, But They All Kick Ass.

this one was better then 1 in my opinion but it had the worst character development..its only off the hook cuz its a conclusion but 2 pretty much owned it in every aspect except the action
