Xbox 360 could offer Blu-Ray add on in future

Eh? I'm not so sure about that, game makers are more concerned about money now. It's more profitable to make a game for all three consoles.
I can guarantee you that a game like God of War 3 will NEVER make its way to the 360 as Gears of War will never make its way to the PS3 and Super Mario Galaxy will never make its way to either system

Yeah it would be weird if Microsoft started developing for Sony and vice versa. I doubt either of them need money that bad.

Blu-ray isn't something Microsoft can ever "get a hold of" because anyone who wants to support it can. If Microsoft starts to support Blu-Ray it will only help the PS3 and Sony. The latest interview seems to show MGS4 staying a PS3 exclusive.
how will it help the ps3!?!?!?

Perrrretty sure he was talking about 3rd party developers

Blue Ray is a Sony proprietary software. I'm not sure it would exactly be helping the PS3 but it would definitely be putting more money in Sony's pocket.

Right, if Blu-Ray wins all out that will sell more PS3s as (of now) they're one of the cheaper players.

But Microsoft gives you a choice, unlike some other brands that shall remain nameless.

Sony basically front loads their console at the cost of it being more expensive up front, Microsoft has a lower entry price and over-charges you for their addons and makes you pay 50 dollars a year to play online.

Dun Dun ZENIEN THE SONY CHICK to the rescue.

Seriously, Z, have Bats, Wondy and Supes called you about joining the Justice League yet?

If I'm saying something you don't like you can plug your ears and pretend you didn't hear me.

Actually I should seriously consider applying for a membership, that would rawk. :o

Sony has lost the console war, only the hard core fan boys and girls are going to pay $600. :whatever: I hate the Wii but I'll tell you right now the Wii will do better than the Sony. That being said Microsofts going to win in the end.

I'd rather pay $50 a year to play an online system that works than pay nothing for something that may or may not.

The Wii will probably win thanks to Japan. :oldrazz:

It's only been out for 5 months and it's already lost it huh? You can see that far into the future?

Lagging behind who? Microsoft or Nintendo? Both Microsoft and Sony are lagging behind Nintendo, and Sony is tracking slightly ahead of Microsoft. All of this is taking the first 4 months of each respective consoles sales in NA. Sony is tracking ahead of the 360 so far in Europe and has beaten the install base of the 360 in Japan. Those are 'facts', not sure where you get your information from but mine is from the NPD and official outlets.

Thats all bull****! As of April 2007 Xbox 360 has a total sales of 9.86 million, Wii has a total of 6.47 million, and PS3 has a total of 3.07 million.

but microsoft will have a blu-ray add-on, so again that dosnt help ps3!! if anything it makes it worse for ps3

No ****, that's why the link below the chart clearly states it's the FIRST FOUR MONTHS of each console's lifecycle. THEY ARE ONLY US FIGURES. Sony has shipped over 3 million WORLDWIDE. It's a comparison of how well each console did after the first four months from launch in the USA. And I think it's more of a fair comparison than trying to place a console that's been out for a year's total sales next to a console that's only been out for less than five months. Once PS3’s been out for a year then you can start saying it’s a failure, and even then it should really be compared to the 360’s first fiscal year.

They will have one, but trust me, Sony will not give it to them cheap. They're not that stupid. Considering the cheapest 3rd party stand alone unit is about $700, I really don't see how Microsoft will be able to get their competition to give it to them cheaply. I'm not worried, this is why I own both systems. No expensive 360 add ons for me :cwink: I mean ****, if you add up all of the expensive add ons this thing costs the same if not more than a sony unit just to have what the sony unit already does.

And if you're still going to go ahead and already state that Sony has failed, I guess you'll have to admit that HD DVD has as well...

they can devlop their own blu ray player, sony dont have to give it to them!!! and the point is you dont have to buy the add-ons they are just an option, if bluray fails and hddvd succeeeds then 360 will be better off, but no worse off if bluray suceeds

the chart really isnt clear that it is only the first 4 months of us sales tbh

I have noticed over here (uk) however that 360 was impossible to find for 3 months after launch, whereas the just launched ps3 has already been droped in price in soem stores because they cant sell them

Why do you think there is a link directly under it? I would think you guys would have more of a brain than that.

talking about brain dead, say what you mean, you didnt say "if you clicked the link it clearly states it's about first 4 months" you said "the chart clearly states it's the FIRST FOUR MONTHS"

I was pointing out that it wasnt clear on the graph as you had claimed it was

Well obviously it was mistyped, and it does say FIRST FOUR. What the heck do you think that means? And if the chart "really isn't that clear" why wouldn't you click the link to more thoroughly examine it? And the typo has been fixed thank you very much. And you also clearly don't understand that even if Microsoft developed their own player, THEY WOULD STLL NEED TO PAY LICENSING FEES TO SONY. You really are A BEATUIFUL XBOX 360 GAMER. PRAISE XBOX 360. I love you :hearts:

yeah im the idiot:whatever:

i dont think you understand that microsoft paying licensing fees to sony (if they have to, im not too sure they would myself, companies who create dvd players don't pay licencing to the creators of dvd, same with minidisks when they were around) dosn't directly help the ps3 as was claimed

and that wasnt a typo you attacked someone for challenging the info in the graph by saying it was clear it meant the 1st 4 months sales in the u.s when it was anything but clear

and how about you refrain from aggresive behaviour and name calling in a discussion with people

You cant really compare the 3 systems being that only 2 of them released at the same time. Who knows what the numbers would be had all 3 systems released last yr or this yr. I actually think MS came in a bit too early, but maybe they thought the yr up would prove beneficial in the long run.

Also, i dont think the first 4 months really mean shiit, i mean we all saw how great of a system the Gamecube was...:whatever:
