There's nothing to redeem. For all Rick's "We might have been able to save them", the truth is... no, they ****ing wouldn't have. They were cutting it close with alot of the people who got sick after Karen and David. Those two would've been goners. And they would've turned and potentially put more people in danger. So **** that self righteous crap Rick was spewing, she did what was necessary.

I'm still on Rick's side on this one.

Carol murdered them plain and simple. It may have helped in the long run, but they knew nothing about the disease at that point. She had no way of knowing that they would have died or spread the disease. She didn't consult with the other member of the council and let them know what she thought they should do. She just snuck in there and killed both of them without a word to anybody. Carol's not in charge, she doesn't just get to do whatever she wants. Just my opinion though, I guess. I got pretty mad at her back then.

I honestly wanted to cheer when Rick banished her from the group, lol.

[[I will admit that this does sound pretty hypocritical since Rick didn't let anyone know about getting rid of her beforehand either but ah well. IT'S DIFFERENT I SWEAR ]]

I like Carol. She's come a long way since the first season. She might seem like a murderer but who isn't in the world of TWD? There was no cure, no medicine. And more and more people were getting sick. It might seem taking things too far but in their situation when you have no clue what's going on you do what you can to survive. I think she might redeem herself in Rick's eyes, but he's one to talk considering all the crap he's done!

I think one of the things that really bothered me was when she was making excuses for herself in the episode where she got banished. I know that Rick's done bad things too. Like you said, everyone has. But when she compared herself killing Karen & David to Rick killing Shane, I just rolled my eyes since the two weren't even comparable in the slightest (i.e. killing two sick people sleeping in bed vs killing someone pointing a gun at you alone in the woods).

I do see where you guys are coming from, believe me, but I'm just not sure I'll personally be able to come back around on Carol especially since I didn't love her very much to begin with, haha.

Fair enough. I mean, we all can't like the same characters. I just don't think that a character should be looked down on becssuse of what they've done. I mean z everyone in the show has done something horrible. Even Carl when he shot that guy in season 3. I get it that killing people is bad but those who were sick were just going to infect everyone else. It was just survival really.

Didn't Carol only kill David and Karen after the kid that looked like Harry Potter died at the end of season 1 from the sickness and turned in episode 2 only to kill some people in the cell block? Carol was just being proactive after that resulting in her need to protect her "family." Granted she probably should have consulted the council about a possible quarintine before just axing them but hey nobodys perfect.

Yea Carol is pretty awesome and evolved over the seasons to this hardened warrior. I am not pissed that she killed Karen and David as she thought what she was doing was right. However, she should have talked it over with Rick or someone before doing it though. Tyreese forgave Her and understood why she did what she did so, that book is closed. Anyway, after last night episode and Melissa breaking down a New York Comic Con, I have a feeling Carol is gonna die this season possibly in one of the next few episodes.
