The Walking Dead You’d Better Not Be Dead Yet: The Carol Thread

If The Grove last season wasn't proof enough of her evolution, if that had been season 1 Carol last night, not only would the group have been screwed, but she wouldn't have lasted two seconds in a fight with Mary.

On top of that, it goes back to show she's will do anything to protect the group/keep the group safe.

I loved that it was the female character going off to be there hero, while the guy was back watching the baby. That was an awesome role-reversal right there.

And I thought it was bittersweet how Rick was never able to bring Sophia back to Carol, but Carol was able to bring Rick back to Judith.

Thread title should be changed to "the Carol thread: how are all the zombies not dead yet?"

Carol has become as important or more so than Rick to the group's survival. Now if she and Daryl had a kid... that kid would be awesome.

Rewatching the episode again right now. I absolutely love how far Carol has come. It's incredible that someone with her background in the show has reached the level of Daryl's badassness.

I said it in another thread, but losing her now would definitely hurt to see if and when it happens.

Carol is amazing. Her character development is just crazy. Seeing her from season one to now, it's like two different people altogether. I think people in the beginning figured she'd be the one to go, that she wouldn't be able to adapt to the new way of life. Well, she proved them wrong!

Carol went from one of the wimpiest characters in the show to one of the most bad ass. She is awesome. Carol was instrumental in the defeat of Terminus. All by her lonesome.

All hail Carol.

I'm gonna create a thread titled "How the **** is the group not dead yet?"

And the answer would be Carol. :o

That's right, Rows, I'll never let you live this down! I'll NEVER ****ing let you live it down! :argh:

Anyway, after last night episode and Melissa breaking down a New York Comic Con, I have a feeling Carol is gonna die this season possibly in one of the next few episodes.

Aww, I didn't know that. I was too pissed that I wasn't in attendance to follow closely what was going on at the NYCC.

Oh, and hot damn she was rockin it last night! Don't count us old ladies out. :D

Agreed. It'll be BS if she goes especially before Beth. In fact this thread and it's title is more fitting of Beth.

Yep! Which is something Beth has yet to do, imo.

I just want to echo all of the other comments about the awesomeness of Carol.

Carol is easily my favourite character on the show and has received the most astounding, but mature and realistic, character development and growth. As character deaths are part and parcel of The Walking Dead, it will definitely be a sad day when she goes.

Beth is going to have a Carol like development.

I hated Carol in season 4. She was so annoying. They made me like her in the premiere of season 5 so kudos to TWD for that. Hopefully they don't mess it up.

Yeah, one of my friends was at the NYCC panel and said that she was pretty worried about Carol after seeing that. Also, Norman gave her his handkerchief when that happened.

We did see her later that same day at PaleyFest and she seemed ok. She actually got a big laugh when the moderator brought up The Grove and she said, "Yeah...she has a really hard time with the children."

Aw, she sounds awesome. I hope she comes back to DC in May, and I'll have enough money for everyone to sign Days Gone Bye.

Just saw the premier. Commando Carol was off the hook!

can someone elaborate or give a link about melissa breaking down at comic con? that worries me. the only problem about this show is anyone can die at any time :(

Can we change this ridiculous thread title yet? As it stands, Carol is now probably one of the likeliest to survive the whole damn show.
