I'd love for that triple threat match to happen more than anything else right now. As long as their isn't an over jerking off of the part timers this Mania season to the point where they feel the need to bury the entire roster.
Agreed.

It's surprising as well given one thing you can usually count on from WWE is production values and that includes their championship belts.
I agree. I can only assume maybe part of the reason as to why they aren't too fussed about spending too much money on the WHC is because it looks as though it is going to be retired quite soon.

I know it's stupid to hope WWE will get it right after so many PPV's in a row confirming our most negative suspicions, I just hope Triple H's promo is an indication that they realize that this needs to deliver, they surely don't want to go into a new year and towards Mania 30 with more negativity hanging over them.
Completely agree.

Main Event and Smackdown spoilers from prowrestling.net:

Lilian Garcia welcomed everyone to the show.

Dark Match

1. Justin Gabriel defeated Hunico. Gabriel won the basic house show style warmup match.

WWE Main Event

1. Alberto Del Rio beat Dolph Ziggler. Del Rio won with the Cross Arm Breaker. Awesome match. They really went all out and the crowd was into it the whole time. This was better than their two pay-per-view matches earlier this year.

2. Damien Sandow beat Santino Marella. Sandow won with his You're Welcome finisher. Pretty much a squash. Sandow cut a promo before the match insulting the crowd and calling himself "still the uncrowned world champion." He demanded better opponents.

Triple H cut a promo on the screen saying he wants the titles to be unified at TLC. He wants only one WWE champion. So I guess they are guaranteeing one champion at TLC? I can't see the Titantron from my seat so I might not have gotten the full context of the promo.

3. Kofi Kingston beat Fandango (w/Summer Rae). Kingston won with Trouble in Paradise. Fundamentally solid, but the crowd had no reason to get invested in either man, although the kids got into at the end. No follow up on Sunday's actions from Kofi. This concluded the Main Event taping.

11/26 WWE Smackdown taping spoilers: Full coverage of the taping for the Thanksgiving week show

JBL and Michael Cole came out to announce for Smackdown. Renee Young was in the ring to start. She asked us to welcome her guest, the face of WWE, Randy Orton. She asked about the controversy from Sunday's title match against the Big Show. Orton claimed Big Show hadn't knocked him out, he was playing possum. Orton said he didn't need The Authority to win, and they tainted his victory. Renee then threw to a video package from Raw on the unification match setup. She asked Randy how that made him feel. She kept prompting him with adjectives, but Randy got annoyed with her and left the ring and walked up the ramp.

Vickie Guerrero appeared on the Titantron to talk about Thanksgiving and have the superstars compete in a food eating contest. I couldn't tell who because I couldn't see the screen. Banal comedy.

1. Mark Henry (w/Big E Langston) defeated Curtis Axel (w/Ryback). Henry won quickly with the World's Strongest Slam. Apparently, this tag team feud continues.

Another Thanksgiving skit aired on the blocked TitanTron. It sounded like it somehow involved R-Truth. There were more Thanksgiving skits after a commercial break. Yay. It sounded like Titus O'Neil won some contest and the right to compete against Antonio Cesaro.

2. Los Matadores and El Torito beat The Plymouth Rockers (a/k/a 3MB). Wow, this show is getting better and better. Oh, but El Torito is wrestling and it's a six man tag! Has that happened before? I'm not sure, I usually fast forward though both these teams matches. Los Matodores won quickly, thankfully.

But don't worry! This show is saved! Brodus Clay and Tensai are out! I seriously feel like I'm at a house show right now. But at this point I guess Smackdown is pretty much the same thing.

3. Tons of Funk beat R-Truth and Xavier Woods. Tons of Funk surprisingly won after Brodus splashed Xavier from the second rope. I guess Creed (a/k/a Woods) isn't a priority.

CM Punk was then interviewed by Young. He said he hadn't heard from Daniel Bryan since he was kidnapped. He said he was injured and banged up. Then he said he didn't know why The Shield attacked him. He said that maybe it was because they were carrying out orders from people with authority. Punk didn't really seem to care about the fact he hadn't heard from Bryan.

4. Antonio Cesaro (w/Jack Swagger, Zeb Colter) by Titus O'Neil by DQ. No promo from Zeb. Antonio Cesaro started to spin Titus, but D-Young broke it up for the DQ. Odd. Titus then "vomited" into JBL's hat as a result of the spin. Titus then shoved the hat in Michael Cole's face. Titus then vomited on Zeb. More pointless comedy. Who writes this stuff?

Bray Wyatt gave a promo on the Titantron in which he basically claimed that the Wyatts would turn Bryan into a monster.

5. Cody Rhodes and Goldust beat Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns by DQ to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship. Lilian gave in-ring introductions, partly to give it a big match feel and partly because the microphone stopped working in the middle of the the Rhodes Brothers entrance. Ambrose was on commentary with JBL and Cole. A solid match, but not up to the par of their previous contests, partly due to the lack of crowd involvement because they were dead for the past hour plus of filler. Cody hit CrossRhodes on Rollins, but Dean Ambrose ran out causing the DQ.

C.M. Punk came win a chair to even the odds, and Vickie made it a six man tag. Punk had the biggest pop of the night by far.

6. C.M. Punk, Cody Rhodes, and Goldust beat The Shield by DQ when The Wyatt Family interfered. At one point in the match, the Wyatt's came out and stood on the stage, drawing Daniel Bryan chants. Then they attacked Cody and Goldust, causing a DQ. The Shield then attacked Punk, and the Usos and Mysterio ran out and made the save.

Vickie made a 12 man tag rematch from last weeks raw, except with Rey Mysterio instead of Daniel Bryan. I'm pretty sure this segment (from the tag title match until now) is gonna end up taking the entire final hour of Smackdown Friday. it's been pretty awesome, so I'm not complaining.

7. C.M. Punk, Cody Rhodes, Goldust, Rey Mysterio, and The Uso Brothers defeated The Shield and The Wyatt Family in a 12-man tag match. Very fun match, although another illogical ending with the faces picking up the win after a 619 and GTS combo on Erick Rowan. The faces posed at what I assume will be the end of the television show.
I hope they don't cut Titus puking in JBL's hat and then placing it on Cole's head. :funny:

New Dolph Ziggler interview

If he deserves a main event push right now:

"I feel that I can absolutely put the company on my back, go out there entertain on the mic, entertain in the back, do media days, do movies, do TVs, you name it and steal the show every single night. And one day, when that happens everyone will be like 'oh yeah, I knew all along'. I get a bad rap for speaking my mind sometimes from some people on the Internet like the people who cheered for me when I cashed in the Money In The Bank briefcase as a bad guy because they were sick of the same old. Those guys have kind of turned on me a little bit because they're like 'he deserves to be in trouble, he speaks his mind too much'. This is about entertainment, I'm here to entertain. If I blur the lines, even better! Have some controversy around it for something, I think that's what makes it fun and I'm all about having fun and nobody has more fun in that ring every night."

Who he would like to face in a 60-minute Iron Man match:

"I would love to do 60 minutes with Daniel Bryan. Especially since maybe a year ago we had a couple of matches where had 20, 30 minutes and it's not just being out there and letting the time go by, it's being entertaining and being different. We have two different styles but both can keep your attention I think. In this day and age where it's hard to keep people's focus and attention, we need 60 minutes of exciting, cool stuff he can do that cool British grappling kind of style and I can put some fun killing my body on the line stuff to have me crawling around for my life. I would love to do 60 minutes with Daniel Bryan at a Summerslam or Wrestlemania whether it's for a title or not, I guarantee that no other match could have that feeling that we had…. Not Shawn and Bret Hart, but close."

Whether he thinks he will one day win the WWE Championship:

"I can say that I am confident in being a WWE Superstar so much as where I can say I feel I'm the best. I can't say that I can guarantee that I will win the WWE Championship one day. I have only had very few matches where I have been in there with the WWE Champ at the time and I was nowhere near them ranking wise, position wise and one day I hope to be. Had I been handed the WWE Championship 10 times, I wouldn't be this enthusiastic and I might not love the business this much. I love that everything has been dangled in front of me and I have scratched at it and got a piece of it and it drives me to be better than everyone else. And that's why I keep getting better, I don't get complacent."

His dream opponent for Wrestlemania 30:

"Me and [Zack] Ryder never got to have our Wrestlemania match, but that's not going to happen. Undertaker is always looming out there, I don't know if he will be there, but I feel he will be.But you know who I would like to face at Wrestlemania 30? Even though he's retired, you know he can still go especially if I'm out there: Shawn Michaels. It's not impossible, he's there, he just refereed a match…. That could be 60 minutes and no one would bat an eye and they would go 'that's what this is about.'"

Ziggler and Del Rio are tearing it up on Main Event.

So, this week's NXT is already on Hulu. I'm watching the first five minutes of Neville vs Zayn. All I can say is...OH YEAH! :awesome:

The first 6 minutes of of Neville/Zayn is so similar to their 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match from the King of Europe Cup from 2006. Love it!

I haven't watched NXT at all since 2010.

And after hearing so much about Sami Zayn, Paige, etc.... I think I'm gonna give it a look.

If Candace is being used more on TNA, I doubt we're not gonna see this move on TV. The infamous "BALLPLEX". :hehe:

I agree. Punk/Cena is the Bret/Shawn, Hogan/Savage, Rock/Austin of our day. It deserves that top billing. While Bryan is hot now, I feel Punk is more deserving of the spot. Bryan going over HHH at Mania( Where HHH has actually done the jobs he needs to.) Will serve him just as well as if he was in a triple threat with Punk/Cena. In fact going over Hunter is much more a likely outcome than him walking out unified champ at Mania.

This is pretty much how I see it, after what Triple H has said about Bryan and how strongly he is protected, I think Bryan beating him at Mania would be the biggest thing he could do.

Am I the only one who thinks Xavier Woods wasn't ready to be called up yet?

Just got around to watched his past couple matches on Raw, and they weren't that good IMO.

Yep, he's on the main roster so WWE can pimp his education and how they helped him get it while he maintained his training. There are several guys in NXT better and more ready for the main roster than him.

Not really a fan of Big E or Reigns yet, but I'd back Vince up if his preference right now is the former. At least Big E has shown some charisma, now if only he didn't look absolutely ridiculous.

But if it was up to me neither would be getting pushed at this stage, and it would stay that way until after WMXXX at the very least.

I don't think Reigns will get his singles push until after Mania as I still think they'll do The Shield vs The Wyatt's in New Orleans. Big E's push is in the mid card which I think is fine as long as they give him some decent opponents.

I agree. I can only assume maybe part of the reason as to why they aren't too fussed about spending too much money on the WHC is because it looks as though it is going to be retired quite soon.

How long has the quality of the belt been deteriorating though?

Since NXT dropped the whole contest format and became WWE's developmental show it's boon the most consistent show that WWE produces. Vince and Stephanie aren't heavily and it doesn't have 20 million writers. Hmmmmmm I wonder......

AND it's run by HHH? What the devil.....

- The 2013 WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view from the TD Garden in Boston had 13,500 fans in attendance with 12,000 paid. WWE announced it at 15,297.

- There are already plans for Roman Reigns to get a huge push in next year's Royal Rumble match similar to Kane and Kevin Nash in the past where they rack up eliminations.

- WWE officials have indeed been talking with Hulk Hogan about a return to the company and an idea to have Hogan team with John Cena, presumably at WrestleMania XXX, was at least discussed.

How long has the quality of the belt been deteriorating though?

I'd say the last two versions of the belt, so probably over the last 6-8 months. The guy who cast it (Dave Millican, the current WWE beltmaker) made his own etched version of the belt that appeared on tv a couple of times, but the E preferred the previous 3D etched version made by the previous beltmaker (as they believe it shows up better on TV in HD). Since the previous beltmaker is one of the only beltmakers around to have a 3D engraving device/machine, the only thing Dave could do was cast the previous version, and with each subsequent cast, the quality has deteriorated. It's also cheaper and quicker to do than have a new belt etched and made from scratch. It's the only belt they have that is cast, all the other are either hand or machine etched, and it seems to be the belt that has the least amount of money spent on it.

That match has been getting high praise across the interwebs.

Well deserved too.

Yep. Yep. Like I've said, let HHH have control and let him not book himself in anything. The results are pretty good.

The only issue I have with NXT is that Bo Dallas is still NXT Champion.

Regarding Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards, apparently there were no issues with their most recent WWE tryout. They are scheduled to be back for the next set of NXT tapings in January but were not offered a contract yet.

NXT writer Ryan Ward is pushing for Triple H to sign them and it appeared they got good reactions from NXT trainers Billy Gunn and DeMott also.

WWE is allowing Richards and Edwards to finish their commitments to Ring of Honor on December 14th but do not want them working anymore dates for that company.
