But I couldn't stand to watch the whole thing. I assume he just goes on and on?

What would have made it far better is if there was a better comedian on stage that could have worked with the whole thing better.

It really is just 9 minutes of a funny laugh. Got kinda boring, as amusing as his laugh was. So yeah, would have been better with a better comedian to work with it.

I thought it got more entertaining as it went along, right up to the end, because the guy just sitting there laughing was a thousand times funnier than the comedian ever could have dreamed of being. The fact that the comedian just rolls with it despite obviously being exasperated that his act got thrown to the wind because he was upstaged makes it even funnier.
