The Dark Knight Rises Young Ra's Al Ghul - Does it mean flashback, or something else?

They "killed" and "unkilled" The Joker in The Dark Knight (remember he jumped out of the body bag). They "killed" and "unkilled" Jim Gordon in The Dark Knight (even showed his "dead" body on the ground and a scene of his wife being informed he was dead).

Cheesy as hell, especially if I would have known before I saw the film that those were in there--but effective in the context of the movie.

I don't know how a still-living Ra's would factor into TDKR, there's a lot of new characters and plot threads being introduced--so I am assuming he is dead though audiences know if you don't see a dead body in a film, do not necessarily assume that character is dead.

Did you really believe the Joker was dead in that scene with Gambol lol?

No of course not--next to nobody did--that is what makes it particular cheesy if I'd seen it coming before the movie. 2 fake deaths in The Dark Knight. Not zero, not one, but two! And maybe I'm forgetting another one! :awesome: It's all fine though, in the context of The Joker pulling a trick it's brief and effective.

I believe his point was that those characters appeared to be dead in the context of the movie. There is slight leeway since Ra's demise was less obvious than someone like Dent or Rachel.
