Nonono, that's not what I meant. I'm not saying everyone with high post-counts spams their way up there. I'm saying that for ME to do it, I'd have to, cause I don't have that much stuff to talk about.

That was not meant to be accusatory of anyone here at all. I could care less about what my post-count or anyone else's is, other than the fact that I want to be able to have the avvy I have ready for when I can have one as large as it is.

And sine you've been here for over 5 years, you were probably a victim of the the "occuring twice" Malice post count screw up circa 2001 and 2002.

He was screwing around with the Hype, as he often does, and on these two particular occasions, he went "Oops" and lowered EVERYBODY's post counts by mistake. Both times he gave everyone a few weeks to PM him and he'd re-adjust your post count to what you thought it might have been. This was during a Hype era when spamming occured less frequently, and higher post counts were a sign of seniority as opposed to spamming/stupidity. (That less comment was more directed to those who have extraordinarily high post counts for short periods of time registered at the Hype, as opposed to long-timers with high post counts)



Bottom line... whether you care or not... you might in reality have a much higher number of Hype posts than 4k.

Oh yeeeahhh. I remember that! I never emailed him because, since I never payed attention to my post-count, I never knew if mine was screwed up or not, and if it was, what it should have been. Hmm...makes me wonder.

That, and when I FIRST started here, I registered as "Amazing Bag-Man", and then forgot my password after a while, and just re-registered as "imdaly". But that account only had maybe 30 posts on it or so, so it wasn't much of a loss.
