The Dark Knight Your favorite rumor that ended up to be bunk...

Not that this is a creditble source but Wikipedia said that "Dent was unconscious at the end of the film." Nothing about him dead.

I really don't want him dead. His make-up, features and EVERYTHING was perfect. He needs to be back in the third.

I'm certain If Dent isnt supposed to be Dead Nolan will bring him back

Flame me, fan-boy me, hate me, whatever but I think Dent needs to die.
Even if he gets brought back Gotham will then know that Dent was corrupted and Batman taking the blame will be in vain.

But the movie was pretty much 2 movies, I dont't think he will be a major role in a 3rd if he is alive. I absoulutly loved Eckhart's two-face and wish I could get to see more of it, but story wise. He needed to die.

I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would

A.) believe "Scoopers" and

B.) read plot points, spoilers, and rumors that could possibly be plot points and spoilers before a movie of this magnitude comes out.
I don't know why I do that either :csad: I always try to stay from any spoiler info but this time I looked up for that supposedly early Two Face concept.. It ruined the surprise, obviously

like i said before - we'll find out Tuesday when the script goes on sale on whether or not he's truley dead.

But that debate is for another thread.

Oh I know, I wasn't trying to start a debate. I just threw that in while we were talking about it.

I remember when the trailer hit and they showed Alfred going into the bat-garage everyone thought it was the Joker. Pretty interesting rumor/ theory. Might of been cool to see

It would've been badass to see the Joker through the fear-toxin.

Also to see him get sprayed with it and it having no effect at all

Oh here's a good one:

"Bruce gets criptic messages from the riddler throughout the movie and we never see the Riddler at all."

I really liked all the speculation about the Nolan-ized Deathstroke figure that leaked at some Toy Fair.

That and Sarah Jayne Dunn as Harley...that was all over..including imdb, rite?

Although I might still be convinced that there's a scene of her as Harley on an editing room floor somwhere that was cut due to time, having the end play out as it did, Heath's death leaving it incomplete, or holding on to it to show up in the third movie with either a new joker OR a way to actually have Heath in the third movie...isn't the going rumor that The Joker's in Arkham throughout the third movie?...a little trick editing on footage of the Joker filmed in Arkham and we might not have seen the last of Heath's Joker!!!

I remember a rumor that Joker gets shot down by the GCPD at the end like Scarface. :whatever:

That was supposedly because he's going to be in the TDK video game which has yet to be announced.

Anjow - you wouldn't happen to be privy to any info about that, wouldja?

In regard to false rumors...during and after the movie, I was very angry at myself for having read so many spoilers. Everybody I saw the film with hadn't read up on it as obsessively as I had and were thus suprised at every turn. I wasn't suprised by much because I was familiar with almost every rumor...but at the very least, not knowing which rumors were true kept me on my toes a little bit. If there were no misinformation, intentional or otherwise...the film would have been almost completely spoiled for me.

That said, next time...I'm hanging out in the non-spolier forum exclusively.

The supposed Batman theme that Zimmer and co. were talking about. Didn't hear any distinct them other than what was used in Batman Begins.

Not a damn clue. And I'm kinda pissed about that to be honest. I wish we had a TDK game. Something along the lines of free roaming mixed with assassins creed and TDK.

Are you refering to the one track (originally composed for Begins) that they said was so good that Batman would have to "earn" it via a sequel (or something to that effect)?

I was wondering the same. I did love the score for this though.

Yeah. I didn't hear anything new in terms of a Batman theme. The music used for Batman were the same pieces from Batman Begins.

I loved how everyone took Miranda's words to absolute heart, and everything she posted turned out to be entirely untrue.

No scars. Debunked with first picture.

Joker actually permawhite. Debunked.

Zipline theory. Debunked.

Catwoman nod. Debunked.

There was actually a Catwoman nod in the film. Bruce when getting his new armor says "Hopefully it can withstand cats".

I just had an idea about this supposed batcycle:

I always found it interesting how the "attack" mode of the tumbler works, having to lay down in that bottom portion. What if the attack mode actually required Batman to go into this portion, which is actually on top of the cycle (inside the shell of the tumbler). In essence, he's positioned onto the cycle in case the tumbler sustains heavy damage, thus being able to escape from it via the cycle emerging from the front. Probably never meant to be that way, but I can see it working as an explanation for the cycle coming out of the tumbler.

Thoughts?

Man did I call that or what over a year ago. :yay:

Dead on. Good work. I like the rebuttal:

I see no way that a cycle could emerge "from" the Tumbler unless the car was extensively modified (and enlarged.) The body of a cycle would have to go right through the cockpit, which seems infeasible. (It also seems infeasible to have the cycle "below" Batman, since he's practically lying on the ground in the existing prone position anyway.)

Now, here's an interesting suggestion, though: remember the first TDK spy photos of the Tumbler, sitting outside in the Chicago warehouse parking lot? All the body panels were missing. Now, this may be because it was simply being transported, and the external accessories were crated up separately... but what if this were the actual appearance of the car at some point early in the film, showing Bruce modifying it? (Strapping on new weapons, armor, etc.?)

Just a thought!

Good call, man.

I wonder if it was designed that way initially or a modification made by Lucius....

I'd say it was always in the design of the Tumbler in the realm of the film, but not within the design during BB.

Harley Quinn, selina kyle hints

i remember people saying Joker got those scars because of batman, through a zip line/batarang theory.

i heard one that the bat cave or lab was right under the penthouse, i coudnt see how batman's vehicles would make it down a big building...
