Not Every teenager but 80% of them where I live is a chav. They are scum, they swear at strangers in the street crowd places like supermarket entrances just to 'chill out' and generally have no respect for themselves or others. My Kids wont be like that.

My kids aren't leaving the house if they're like that.

I wouldn't say it's quite as high as 80%, but definately 50%.

Ha Ha, I mean't when Charlotte used to date those two chavs, and Britney is married to K-fed. They could do better if they wanted to. Charlotte's new boyfriend is just as bad. Men should not shave their entire body, getting tanned and spending 2 hours getting ready .

Sorry to take issue Lex but Punk was a very small part of the seventies in the UK.
Rock was secondary in the early eighties to New Wave and New Romantics in the middle to goths and indie and at the end to the Manchester Sound, House and Raving.
90's hip hop and ghetto ran alongside so many other cultures it was untrue and now we have so many more counter cultures for the youth to choose to ascribe to.

Chav as a term really only exists for some people to feel superior to others and to give aggressive working class youngsters a label.
