Can't believe I finally found someone else who enjoyed The Black Halo more than Epica!

Hahaha. I think it's the strongest consistent album from song to song. Despite, Epica is their 2nd best, but they are both really, really close. But I'll forever love Lunar Sanctum from The Fourth Legacy as it's their first song I heard, and it lead two those two fantastic albums.

Rest of the CD's after that have utterly sucked, despite Khan was brilliant on them. What do ya think of the new singer? I got ahold of the new CD, Silverthorn and I hate to say it. I've given up on Kamelot from here on out, IMO. It's not due to the singer, it's their song writing has really taking a total nose dive. =/ Tragic.

Huh? The Black Halo is generally considered the best album by Kamelot. I myself find that one very overrated.

Kamelot is IMO one of the most boring metal bands out there. They had great potential, especially with Khan. But mostly it sounded all the same and Khan's singing started to feel forced and stale to me. I was glad to hear they got a new singer (a Swede, too), but that guy just tries to sound exactly like Khan instead of something new and original. And the only song I've heard from their coming album has some very weird and boring songwriting.

I'm not sure that I can narrow this to 10 All Time, but I will say that there are 5 albums that I fell in love with from the 80's that influenced my musical tastes. I absolutely loved these when they came out and consider them my classics:

Shout at the Devil - Mötley Crüe
1984 - Van Halen
Pyromania - Def Leppard

WHAT?!? It's the lone Christmas album to make Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time (pick a variation of the list). And it features numerous versions of the songs which have become definitive. Not to mention it introduced the song "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" to the world.

It's a masterpiece. A classic. It's amazing.

1. The Who- Who's Next
2. Tom Waits- Rain Dogs
3. The Beatles- Revolver
4. The Clash- London Calling

7. Widespread Panic- Don't Tell the Band
8. U2- Achtung Baby
9. Led Zeppelin- 4
10. Nightwish- Dark Passion Play

Is no. 10 out of place? Do some things seem like they shouldn't be higher than others? Well, yes. Otherwise what fun would it be?

KNEW I'd posted in this thread before. Can't believe it was so long ago! Fun thing is, it's maybe 50% different now.

1. The Who- Who's Next
-Classics are classics, and this is still rock-and-roll perfection from start to finish.
2. Tom Waits- Rain Dogs
-And this is still a mesmerizing one to just let play.
3. Ornette Coleman- The Shape of Jazz to Come
-Not sure why I didn't include this the first time. It's always been my favorite jazz album.
4. The Beatles- Revolver
-Didn't fall far.
5. Miles Davis- Kind of Blue
-Hadn't really listened to this one the first time I made this list.
6. The Clash- London Calling
-He who ****s nuns will later join the Church.
7. U2- All That You Can't Leave Behind
-Eventually just sort of realized that this one means more to me. It was my first U2 album, and "Kite" is still their most underrated song.
8. Led Zeppelin- 3
-I honestly just love to drive with the windows down with this one playing. So much fun. Sorry, "Stairway".
9. Foo Fighters- There Is Nothing Left to Lose
