Your Watchmen casting

I can't see that, but he would make a good Comedian.

Thought about proposing Ron Perlman as the Comedian, did not say anything for fear of being yelled at.

Do you get the feeling we're the only two using this thread?

I've always been kinda partial to the idea of Powers Boothe in the part of Edward Blake:

BLAKE-1.jpg

Fine character actor that Ron Perlman is, he just doesn't come across with the same degree of suave seductive sadism that is essential for The Comedian for me - Blake is a classic Golden Age square-jawed macho man in terms of appearance... who just so happens to be a brutal nihilist and a stone killer into the bargain, yet another of the knowing genre deconstructions wrought by WATCHMEN.

Good choice...hmm. If he was cast, I'd actually be acceptable of them casting a younger version as well.

Has anyone suggested Ron Perlman as Dr. Manhattan?
Not as Manhattan (he's a bit too old for the role) but the producers (they are the producer of Hellboy, too) who were going to cast him as the Comedian last year when Greengrass was supposed to shoot the movie.
I think Gerard Butler is a no-brainer suggestion as Manhattan after 300.

It's a an Actor Named Jere Burns....He does a lot of Sitcom work....I also thing he would be a great Banshee in X-men.

How come no one is casting Captain Metropolis...

I say Greg Kinnear

It would be a lot like his Captain Amazing in Mystery Men

I'm not trying to be argumentive, but Gerard Butler was one of the guys I was thinking of as the Comedian.

Nite Owl- John Cusack

I actually really like that.

Thanks...But Silvermoth's suggestion of Nathan Fillion is also great....

Now here's an odd idea....but someone mentioned that the Comedian needs to be a larger actor....so what about this...

He's got the size and he's a much better Actor then folks give him credidt for...I think he could pull it off.

Although for some readon thinking about Patrick Warburton as the Comedian made me think of the perfect choice for the Comedian.....

My Official Choice for Thor and the only choice for Lobo....Leatherface himself and now my Offical Choice for The Comedian.....

Andrew Bryniarski

The guy is huge, the guy is Badass and also a better actor than he gets credit for....He would be a great choice for the Comedian.

Well, he's certainly large. And he could use some more high profile dramatic roles.

He's a Replicant!

I agree that Patty Warburtong needs some larger roles in his career...Something High profile like this could really put his up there where he belongs.
