WoW I never thought the smoke would be lead based impressive on Zack and Bruce's part... though I still wonder how so many know who can't see through lead.

Lex through his experiments and research on a kryptonian body, Bruce through getting that information from Lex, and Lois knows, probably because Clark told her.

I always assumed that bit of knowledge was a byproduct of Lex's experiments with kryptonite. When the senators visited his lab, Lex had one of his lead scientists explain the effects of kryptonite using imaging of Kryptonian cells. If Lex could show how kryptonite affected Kryptonian biology, then he may have experimented with how to block its effects. The conclusions could be generalized to other aspects of Kryptonian biology. Plus, lead is generally known to block x-rays. Perhaps, it was an educated guess?

I'm glad this is being brought up again but remember this being discussed at length when BvS came out and the Pb gas grenades were noted.

Besides the fact that Luthor researched him at length, my feeling is that we can also assume some of Superman lore where Lois still wrote the Pulitzer prize winning "I spent the night with Superman" where she wrote about him and specifically said he has "a problem seeing thru lead"

I'm really excited about these 2 projects and in a way, I'm happy to see him step aside from big IPs and do more "original" stuff like this; I want Snyder to go full-on Snyder on these movies

Bale was very blunt about his regrets in giving MCG a chance a couple years back. Ain't no way he's signing up under another director with a spotty record at best.

Zack's gonna have to build back his reputation like Shyamalan has.

Nearly every actor he works with heaps praise about him, like not the usual pr type. I dont think getting actors will be a problem.

But I dont think Bale will do the role. Just a feeling.

Being nice doesn't help maintain prestige. I'm sure Zack will have no issues casting the part with solid actors, I'm just not seeing him nabbing anyone in that tier of acting talents and reputation.

Yeah, regardless of what the internet might think of him, he will not have any trouble getting good talent for this. I could also see a bunch of unknowns tho. No, Ray or Ezra/Momoa would not be a good fit for these characters at all. lol

Brolin comes to mind for one of the characters easily.

That's a shame. Would have been cool to see Ray in Zack's film.

You know, the one thing that I wish we could figure out is Snyder's reasoning for going back to filming his scenes on studio lots and on green screen sound stages (where nearly everything involving the location would need to be digitally created) when he had started his DC trilogy by filming practically everything in real locations or in outdoor areas mixed with real surroundings and green screens.

I mean was it to save money or maintain a higher security for JL?
