I just want every party that put us here to acknowledge that all this is a sad, sad mess, and they should feel sad.
Zack is an extremely dignified director. He never badmouths the studio, his co workers, or anyone, or anyone's work. Never a negative word, even when Alan Moore treated him and his work like ****, he took that graciously, and said "I'm a huge fan of his work and respect him, and he is 100% entitled to his opinion and I respect that".
Snyder put his heart and soul to these 3 films. He made these films, worked day and night over them, and presented them to the world. Some love these films, some hate them. Many bloggers and critics and internet have launched vile personal attacks and criticisms of his work, but he never responded, he never fought back, he never put them in their place, never called them out, he just put his head down and continued working.
Only when now after he had worked on a film for over 2 years, and when he faced the biggest tragedy of his personal life, WB unceremonously dumped him from his passion project, used his personal tragedy as cover, and then used him as a scapegoat. And managed to screw over the film as a result as well. They disrespected him and his work.
In retaliation he has said nothing against them or do something that would hurt WB. Only thing he did was make a comment about how that stupid moustache vfx thing doesnt work and like some posts ridiculing WB's handling of JL. And he has every goddamn right to do that.
Its baffling that this even is an issue. Dude saw his years of hardwork go down the drain, for what? Some crap that has been universally ridiculed and some decisions made purely out of monetary gain. He has every ****ing right to speak out against it. Infact I think he should go full Mangold on these idiots.
It's okay to have an opinion on Zack's handling of JL. But the man just took a shot at the studio that used his daughter's suicide to force him off his film and hack it to bits. I'd say he was more than allowed to take a few jabs at them for such behaviour. It's honestly disgusting what they did.

Like damn, let Zack get one joke in. It's not that serious.
Breh, they couldn't even leave him alone on his birthday.
t:This right here. Thanks idiot.
Zack IS a dignified person, and a director. It's hilarious that a few of his divisive movies can either bring out the best or the worst of us.

I'm stunned at some of the reactions I see to Zack's playful jab at the whole moustache situation. I've seen the word "unprofessional" get thrown around a lot.
LOL
Zack is one of the most professional dudes working. A lot of times when movies get panned, the directors get defensive and start throwing blame around. We've seen it happen to a ton of big name directors. I mean, Heck, look at what JOSS WHEDON did after Age of Ultron. He literally threw Feige under the bus and made it clear every chance he got that he was miserable filming the movie. No one called him unprofessional, he got a pass because he made The Avengers. When BvS got the reception it did, Zack took it on the chin and straight up said "I ****ed up, I tried something different, it didn't work and I'm hurt that it didn't work, but I'm gonna fix this and going make it up to you guys with Justice League." He didn't talk trash, he didn't throw his bosses under the bus, he just took it and one thing I think is undeniable, whether you love or hate the guy, from the footage we've seen that we know is HIS footage, he was genuinely aiming for a different kind of movie with Justice League.
A cynical lesson. Make a good movie and you can say whatever you want... Make a terrible film and you can't be at all cheeky.
... unless your Kevin Smith.
That may very well be but I don't see how that makes it right for him to start poking fun now.
I believe he was fired and his daughters death coincided with that. WB took it as a marketing opportunity to soften the blow of "losing" the director of their Avengers, but he WAS fired I think.
He should just take this whole DCEU venture as a massive failure from all parties involved, himself included instead of pointing fingers and shifting blame.
If it is true that he's making fun of WB for trying and failing to cover up a CG mustache he should stop and think about what HIS part was in getting us to that point.
That or just go into exile like the rest of them did and return once he has something worthwhile to say about this mess.
I think it's more becoming.
Yet Zack made two excellent DCEU films and still cannot say s***.
Supes and Bats look horrible though...![]()
Even the marketing and promo material truly underscore the shift from iconic, grandiose, mythic and larger than life to cartoonish, generic and Disneyfied. The second one looks like the poster for a Nickelodeon direct to DVD movie.

WoW I never thought the smoke would be lead based impressive on Zack and Bruce's part... though I still wonder how so many know who can't see through lead.
Drop that mic baby!
