Zaddy has snapped...again

I'm sorry Zack but you've missed your shot at being coy.

It's your name on the directors credit in the end. If you didn't want it there then you should've shown some integrity and publicly renounced the movie and severed all ties to it way back when.

Being all coy and making Snyde remarks (:p) now is just petty, stupid and unprofessional. Don't act like a bro when you're just as much to blame for this whole mess that started the very moment you thought Batman V Superman was the right direction to take this franchise in after Man of Steel (which I loved by the way.)

Never forget Snyder, you too are to blame for ruining the first ever Justice League movie. We can never have that back.

Honestly, just lay low or crawl under a rock like Whedon and Johns.

Happy birthday.

This. I would say he is snapping back now because things have soured between them. And I dont blame Zack for that, not one bit.

He probably finally brought himself to watch JL and laughed his ass off. It's insulting what they replaced his scenes with. Now wonder why Zack was all over the "I'll take that as a yes" storyboard when the trailer hit and when everyone was praising it. He probably had an inkling about all of the trailer scenes being out. Just imagine watching those trailers with your footage with fans praising and debating things and knowing it's all for ****. I'd snap back eventually too. I understand that Zack is a divisive filmmaker and I understand that some fans hate him and the studio lost faith in his direction...whatever. The fact is, from all we've seen, his stuff is superior. It's not even close. That's frustrating to no end.

I disagree. This dudes name was dragged through the mud at a constant where his daughters suicide was used as a covered up PR stunt. Zack isn't part of the system anymore and his name is attached to Whedon's God awful CG/reshoot scenes. If I was him, I'd give the occasional snark. Let it be known there's bad blood there. It won't change the relationship at this point. Being silenced in the wake of all this BS doesn't matter. I say screw professionalism. What they did to JL was NOT professional (rushing CGI mouth's only for a bonus) from the studio where it did nothing but embarrass their fanbase. Professionalism went out the window the moment they decided to keep the release date when they fired Zack. WB is a PR mess with their DC Films division and that's probably an understatement.

Snyder at the time he directed Watchmen at WB Studios lot, Burbank in 2009.
Happy Birthday to ZS.

Edit: Realizing how much has changed since then makes me sad.

Oh hey, I didn't know it was his birthday. Happy birthday, Zack man! :woot:

I can see that too.

But I think no one gets to walk away clean from this whole mess.

He also had a hand in creating the mess that was JL, in a kind of holistic sense I guess.

He shouldn't act like this isn't the case.

Thing is, we'll never know what his original version of JL was fully like.

And Snyder had absolutely no hand in Nightmare Fuel Cavill whatsoever, so if he wants to make fun of it, he's welcomed to.

The Lord Snyder memes have come true. :funny:

I'm guessing the little girl is one of Snyder's 450 kids.

Or maybe he just...ya know...had bigger things going on at the time.

Nothing but good vibes for mistah Snyder.

I can't believe he is 51 years old.

That may very well be but I don't see how that makes it right for him to start poking fun now.

I believe he was fired and his daughters death coincided with that. WB took it as a marketing opportunity to soften the blow of "losing" the director of their Avengers, but he WAS fired I think.

He should just take this whole DCEU venture as a massive failure from all parties involved, himself included instead of pointing fingers and shifting blame.

If it is true that he's making fun of WB for trying and failing to cover up a CG mustache he should stop and think about what HIS part was in getting us to that point.

That or just go into exile like the rest of them did and return once he has something worthwhile to say about this mess.

I think it's more becoming.

People shat on Snyder and no one bats an eye...but goddamn it when Snyder took a small jab at WB for giving children and adults nightmares about Superman....

Well, some may say Snyder did that first.

The way I see it Marvel just casually dropped a billion dollar Black panther movie. But by all means keep joking about the continued mistreatment of Superman which you most definitely had a hand in Zaddy.

"May"? His daughter killed herself and what's bothering you the most is how ZS handled JL ? ...

Zack has the right to express his opinion if he wants to, he has been working for DC movies continuously since 2012 to 2017 (even before that if you count Watchmen).

That's more than 5 years, even Whedon expressed his displeasure at Marvel when Studio interfered with his work during the shooting of Avengers: AoU.

It's okay to have an opinion on Zack's handling of JL. But the man just took a shot at the studio that used his daughter's suicide to force him off his film and hack it to bits. I'd say he was more than allowed to take a few jabs at them for such behaviour. It's honestly disgusting what they did.

Whatevs. I’m just glad he took a jab at WB. Zack stayed silent when WB cut down 30 mins from BvS, but now it's time for him to attacc...

Zack is an extremely dignified director. He never badmouths the studio, his co workers, or anyone, or anyone's work. Never a negative word, even when Alan Moore treated him and his work like ****, he took that graciously, and said "I'm a huge fan of his work and respect him, and he is 100% entitled to his opinion and I respect that".

Snyder put his heart and soul to these 3 films. He made these films, worked day and night over them, and presented them to the world. Some love these films, some hate them. Many bloggers and critics and internet have launched vile personal attacks and criticisms of his work, but he never responded, he never fought back, he never put them in their place, never called them out, he just put his head down and continued working.

Only when now after he had worked on a film for over 2 years, and when he faced the biggest tragedy of his personal life, WB unceremonously dumped him from his passion project, used his personal tragedy as cover, and then used him as a scapegoat. And managed to screw over the film as a result as well. They disrespected him and his work.

In retaliation he has said nothing against them or do something that would hurt WB. Only thing he did was make a comment about how that stupid moustache vfx thing doesnt work and like some posts ridiculing WB's handling of JL. And he has every goddamn right to do that.

Its baffling that this even is an issue. Dude saw his years of hardwork go down the drain, for what? Some crap that has been universally ridiculed and some decisions made purely out of monetary gain. He has every ****ing right to speak out against it. Infact I think he should go full Mangold on these idiots.
