just thinking about it, i thought it would be pretty nice to have like an epic approach to his, like a continuous story over a trilogy like lord of the rings, Christopher Walken would be a bada** gannon with a little makeup. Scarlett Johansen as Zelda, Link has many possibilites.

its just my opinion but having a 3 movie epic would be niiice.

You're the first person to consider this scenario. Off to Hollywood we go with our million-dollar idea, old chum!

:sarcy:

No Legend of Zelda movie! The games are perfect for telling the story. Though I would like to see new mangas made.

Hollywood is too unoriginal to never make a Zelda movie.
One day, when video game movies are more sucsessfull have gain more critical acclaim just like superhero movies now, then I'm sure Nintendo will decide to make one.

Before a Zelda game, we need at least a new mario one, and Metroid.....

If you ask me Orcania Of Time is the PERFECT set up for a 3 Part Movie

Part 1 = Present Time & it ends with after he pulls the Master Sword & disappears

Part 2 = In the future doing the future stuff

Part 3 = The rest of the Movie

:woot:

I'd rather see Nintendo wet their feet in that pool again with Metroid before they go ahead with Zelda.

Make 'em animated!!!

Zelda made by Dreamworks
Mario made by Pixar

Zelda would barely work as a movie.

Mario just would not. The character is too shallow even for kids, and even though he has a large ammount of friends, they don't add anything to plot either.

Metroid would need to be like the Doom movie, but with no other characters than Samus on the field, it would fall apart.

Nintendo properties don't seem to have the capacity to translate well to film. Zelda is obviously the best, but imagine that as a movie in the best possible way. If the story was true to the games, critics would hate it. It would need to be a coming of age/action story.

You're crazy.

The wealth of untapped story Zelda has is practically limitless... only they'd have to cross certain boundaries the games haven't/can't done/do. If you get a director who understands this (someone with the vision of sayyy... Bryan Singer...) then I think it could be done.

I was thinking Gore Verbinski, but definately not. Wouldn't work... and actually, the same goes for Peter Jackson. Singer's mentality could make it work as long as he had a good script.

Mario would make a fascinating Pixar movie. Again, a good script is all they'd need... they have the resources to build an entertaining plot. And to see the Mushroom Kingdom presented by pixar? That's worth the ticket price and the DVD price ALONE!

I think a Zelda anime should get made, a combination of the realistic style of the Rurouni Kenshin OVAs and the cartoony style of Pokemon.

Zelda movie in a similar animation as FF7: Advent Children........

hmmmmmmm........ that would be interesting

No game needs a motion picture, until the people making them finally realize that games actually have stories these days and don't need you to write one from scratch.

So basically, they need good scripts to be good movies. Wow.

The only problem is, no one could agree on what kind of script to have because it would be so different from the games.

Meh, maybe good casting......but I don't know how many people would take Link's wardrobe very seriously....But I wanna wait until movie execs don't just think of video game movies as "easy money" and nothing else

They're more than filler dammit :cmad:

well thank you for posting back, although i dont recall anywhere in my post asking "can anyone be an a** hole?" ....but i appreciate your input....to everyone, god forbid you post your opinions on a vent!!!!

We can't be a**holes? Damn.... uh.... Haha Christopher Walken as Gannondof, where the hell did you come up with that one? :whatever:
