Ziggler gets a Wrestling Thread...It's About Damn Time!!!

We're almost at 1000 posts, so here is my suggestion for the next thread title:

The Wrestling Thread seems overly concerned with box office returns

I defended the point because of something you had said. Don't make it seem like I started the topic. You said Doom and Tooth Fairy were way worse than any of Cena's films, and I beg to differ.

Two quotes on one long continuous discussion that started before I or anyone else said that so no I didn't start it. I certainly didn't bring up their respective films first. Fail.

And I haven't been doing this for a while at all. I bring in my two cents on Dwayne whenever the Rock/Cena topic gets brought up.
Please you crawled out of the woodwork as soon as Rock came back to defend him. You hadn't contributed sh** to this thread before that. And everytime "Dwayne" get mentioned you have to slide in how great he is in response to someone else who thinkss otherwise. Even no just WHAT ARE YOU contributing besides this bullsh** we are talking about that nobody gives a damn about reading?

And I think you are wrong. So we have different opinions, but don't make it seem like your opinion trumps mine.
I back my opinion up with info instead of your usual "yay hooray" attempts of pointing out how great the Rock is.

Cena's path is to stick with WWE-produced films that are as horrible as his acting. That's the path I am referring to. And...not once have I said that it's bad that Cena is still with the "company that made him". Again, you assume and you assume terribly. I am talking about Cena's films and only that.

Talk about BIAS! Despite you thinking you dictate what his "path" is it ain't true. His path has been primarily to stick to being in WWE. If it wasn't he would have bailed already.

Doom didn't make up its budget, but Marine only BARELY made up its budget. Doom wasn't much of a flop when compared
What the hell does that even MEAN, dude? One of em at least made its money back. The other LOST money.
But, once again let me say this....money doesn't matter when it comes to personal opinion. I still liked Doom. I also said I liked The Marine.

Put the gold star on your paper, have a cookie, I really don't give a diddly damn. I didn't like either. But Doom was a bigger piece of crap and lost more money. So much for that drawing power on that one.

Only a couple of Rock'n'Rollers who can't get off it and contribute something else.

Apparently it matters and if you don't make budget it's a failure and if it barely makes budget it's the "bestest movie evar".

So much fail in this.

I really feel sorry for your discussion skills.

She's from Texas too and that states given us a lot of a**holes in the business. But...look at them astrodomes, dude! :wow:

No it just means one lost more of its budget. Keep working on it. You'll figure out how it works...eventually. :funny:

Not a fail if its true. Feel sorry for yourself. PLEASE. I can't understand half the sh** you typed. I'd need a damn universal translator with its own telepath to understand that one "point" you were trying to make.

Doom didn't make up its budget, but Marine only BARELY made up its budget. Doom wasn't much of a flop when compared

Is there an ending in sight for this sentence? Besides that...ONE film made more of its money back. You get the Fail.

I personally wouldn't bother really arguing with him,It's rather pointless.

Instead of continuing to derail the thread like some others If I eventually get No Holds Barred I'm going to have a back to back viewing with Ready To Rumble. Which one do you guys think is "better?"

I always wondered if they called Hogan "Rip" for licensing reasons?

I haven't seen both movies in years But I remember loving No Holds Barred as a kid&growing up in my teens watching it many times as one of my favorite movies cause of the concept&Hogan,I liked Ready to Rumble when it came out&I was in my late teens But I didn't think it was that great nor did I watch it that many time after it!!

So it's NHB for me,I'm defiantly going to buy it soon!!

I think if they're purple, there's something seriously wrong and you need to call an ambulance.

No Holds Barred is a better comedy than Ready to Rumble. Although, I don't think that No Holds Barred was intended to be a comedy.

I probably haven't seen No Holds Barred since my early teens. I also enjoyed it as a kid. Ready To Rumble had its moments.

The movies have some similarities. Interesting how RTR invented a hero wrestler from the ground up and NHB invented a villain. R2R's promotion on WCW tv was a much bigger disaster though.

No no...the purple part is me...kinda like SPACE mountain. Though another part might be blue if she was wearing anything less.

Ready to Rumble should have been made&released when WCW was at it's hottest('96-'98)and toned down the promotion by not making one of the stars a champion(especially the f'n main one)!

:( How about we go back to talking about Rock's movies vs. Cena's movies again.

No w've all had enough of that.

What do you think WWE will do with Rey, Henry, and Barrett upon their returns? I mean it's hard to execute three big returns at the same time.

Henry's gonna get lost in the shuffle, I feel.

Rey's kinda up in the air. I wouldn't be shocked if he had another program with Del Boro.

I'd like to see him work in the midcard with Rhodes and Christian.

Henry will probably be fed to whoever the necessary top faces are after making a brief impact on his return.

Barrett's gonna get a big push. Hard to think otherwise. Is he on SD? If he is his and he wins MITB I could see him going after Sheamus.

I'd actually like to see Rey play a heel nut like Cena they won't turn him heel because the Little Kids Love him.

Show. Them. Now. :awesome:

After those Brooke photos, I need something to gradually transition me so I can watch old Arn Anderson matches on youtube.

- Estimates for the Over the Limit are putting the show in the 171,000 worldwide range, with 123,000 buys coming from the US. The overall number isn't that impressive, but the foreign number is way down and the domestic number is way up.

- WrestleMania buys are coming in exactly which were first report, 1.1 million buys. WWE had reported as high as 1.3 million. The first hard estimate they received was 1.22 million.

- Extreme Rules which was headlined with Brock Lesnar vs John Cena is holding at approximately 250,000 buys, up about 20 percent from the previous year. This would be the least-purchased Brock Lesnar PPV of the last five years.

- As seen on SmackDown last night, Ryback picked up a win over Curt Hawkins. It sounds like Hawkins and his partner Tyler Reks aren't finished with Ryback after they commented on Twitter last night.

Hawkins: "Well that meathead @Ryback22 clearly cheated tonight... Good news is I have an in with the SmackDown GM next week, we go way back."

Reks: "Think @TheCurtHawkins would be mad if he knew the coin we tossed for the match was rigged? No worries, we're not done with @Ryback22 yet."

- The WWE crews are off for the 4th of July and Thursday but will return to action on Friday with a live event in Amarillo, Texas. David Otunga noted that he will be in Boston today as his fiancee Jennifer Hudson performs on CBS' "Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular."

- A WWE source indicates that there is something big planned for Tyson Kidd. His qualifying for Money in the Bank and the push on RAW last night are apparently the start of something bigger for Kidd.

The most decorated female grappler in TNA Wrestling history, Angelina Love, announced Sunday that she has amicably parted ways with the organization. Many of Love's friends and co-workers offered words of encouragement following her parting of ways.

Velvet Sky: "Such a damn shame!! So much left to do there! I know you're gonna move on to big things bud, good luck and as always I love u!!"

Madison Rayne: "I'll miss seeing your beautiful face. I can't WAIT to see the awesome things you're about to accomplish though."

Devon: "God is with you girl, see you soon."

Tara: "Good luck @ActualALove! You will have success no matter where your journey takes you."

Traci Brooks: "No doubt Angelina Love was one of the best KOs (being canadian and all). I know she'll succeed at whatever lies ahead!"

Rosita: "I love Angel so much and it's gonna suck not being able to work with her and have the great times we have at work BUT I will see her elsewhere and she is such a beautiful and talented woman she will excel in ANYTHING she choses to do next! I had my dark match with her. That was the match that got me signed. I will forever be grateful to her for being so awesome to me as a friend and co-worker."

The record-setting five-time TNA Women's Knockout Champion is now representing herself as Angel Williams, according to her Twitter account. She lists herself as pro Wrestler/Model/Actress/Queen of all trades and is accepting appearance requests through [email protected].
