I never understood the argument over who was the bigger draw.Is there really a scientific way to find out who drew more than another wrestler? There's like a bunch of other factors that can play into buyrates. For example who knows if people are buying shows for just one person? Some people could be buying shows just to see Hornswoggle. It never really made sense to me.

The headliners are always considered the main draws in wrestling. Hogan and the nWo were WCW's maindraw during the Monday Night Wars. Austin was the main draw during that period for WWF. Cena's been the headliner for the last seven years, so he's considered the draw.

And I guess nowadays you can break it down with how many people are viewing tv segments that feature certain stars.

Of course, part of it is also the booking and the storyline. A guy could be really popular but not booked well, and the ratings could reflect that.

yet none of you bought it and then make the bogus claim he's the reason that an established and growing Hollywood franchise drew a few extra million

There are movie fans than wrestling fans. And Vin Diesel > Miz

Well people use Rock's drawing power as justification for Rock not putting anyone over since he's been back. Acting like his mere presence is doing so much for the business. When iyou look at the buyrates and TV ratings of the shows Rock has been on, he's not delivering.

Exactly and that's how this whole thing started, it came out this week that the Mania buyrate is nothing groundbreaking, since then Blackheart has been on a crusade.

:funny: I give up dude.

I like his rock remix the best

Do they count ratings on PPV's as well or is it just you buy it,and that's all that matters?

WWE needs a new headliner badly.

I just call all of Ryback's opponents by the same name: Jobby Jobberson.

I suppose this is how the majority of the locker room would like to welcome The Rock back when he pops in and out these days... :D

Considering one of the main reasons people (including myself) went to go watch the movie was to see Vin Diesel fight The Rock, you're wrong, but its okay. You and Metallo hate Dwayne. I get it.

The only reason I went to see Fast Five was because of the Rock fighting Vin Diesel. However the main selling point of the film was returning cast members from the series. Also the trailer showed that they had taken the action up a notch. I think it appealed to action fans and F&F fans alike.

I like the Rock as an action star though. I enjoyed The Rundown and was hoping he would take on the action film mantle. I think he had the charisma and a decent fanbase.

I HATE the People's Elbow! I think that is is one of the dumbest & most illogical moves ever.

I hate his catchphrase "Do you smell what the Rock is cooking?"

No , and I don't want to.

Also every promo ends with that annoying FINALLY!!!.... It takes forever and I've seen it a million times. It just gets old.

He's a funny guy though. I don't hate the Rock by any means but some stuff I just want to fast forward through.

This was around the time I started watching WWE, a bit nostalgic for me. Thanks for posting that.

Wrestlers have catchphrases and repeated promos. It happens.

I enjoy The Rock but he doesn't appeal to me as much as others from his era. I'll take Austin, Foley, Jericho, and Angle over him.

Not saying it doesn't but some wrestlers try new things after awhile. Rock did switch things up in the past but that "finally" part of the promo is akin to Randy Orton walking to the ring for me. It's always going to be part of his routine though because fans in the arena can participate.

Wow,this is a Horrible Promo.

That was painful. He should of consulted the master of promos Jumpin Jeff Farmer.

Tony Schiavone's mustache deserves a WWE HOF spot more than Drew Carey.

Miz's new look for the Marine 3 ( are these films actually connected? )

That sounds more like it.

There's no way in the world Cena/HHH at Wrestlemania 22 and Orton/Cena at Bragging Rights 2009 should be higher than Cena/Punk. The former wasn't that good and neither was the Bragging Rights bout.
