Given the raw pure polished talent of this film I expect nothing less than a solid 90%

Does it matter? Do people still take anything Rotten Tomatoes does seriously?

Not nearly as much impact on audiences that it use to have, but it's still a factor for some people.

I hope below 50%. Anything above 50% and a sizeable portion of the MCU fandom will seethe with bitter anger.

Delusions of grandeur can be unhealthy. If a "sizeable" portion of MCU fandom cared about Foxmen it wouldn't be so irrelevant.

Let's not kid ourselves. There are a lot of people actively rooting for this film to fail.

For a while I figured it'd be lower 60s, but I think it might end up being more like middle/upper 70s if the latest footage is any indication. There'll probably be comments about franchise fatigue and the writing will be critisized to some degree, but depending on how they edit the film, they could actually win points because of it 'feeling like an ending'.

I'm thinking it will land somewhere in the 60% range.

Yeah I say glass ceiling is 65% would love for it to be above that. but with all the negative buzz around this film I am predicting at rotten score. Doesn’t matter though I’ve been a X-men fan so I’ll still go see it.

Any word on the review embargo date?

Minimum 80% with probably 4 weeks of $50 million earnings to value at a total of $200 milll gross domestic

Not gonna happen.

Why not? Kinberg has crafted this film experience with fans and all audiences in mind with total love and respect. With his legion of fans and this being the last X-men film for years to come, people will come in droves. There are many who are saying Simon Kinberg is directing this and they are excited by this prospect of such a wonderful adventure product. It will be minimum 80s rt score

The unfortunate truth is that ticket sales have proven people are not coming in droves. Interest in the X-Men has waned with the news of the Fox buyout. Not as many people will bother. Even IF the movie is GOOD it faces far too much competition at the box office to handle 50 million weekends for 4 weeks haha. That's just not going to happen in any situation, ever. That's common sense box office 101. You'll be lucky to get 30 million on the 2nd week IF and ONLY If the reviews are insanely positive, it will see a small resurgence in interest. The best RT score you can currently hope for is 60%. As more reviews roll it, that may change, even for the better, but we shall see.

I mean, I love your optimism if you're not just trolling...

This certainly reminds me of the great scientific tests run with the simms-darby hobbs modulator.

As you know, great art works best at the molecular level, so if this film does indeed land in the 80's range or above on the vaunted tomato meter, then the result could very much reflect the scientific data produced by the device I mentioned above. That is to say I'm not even vaguely considering unexplainable phenomenon regarding Dark Phoenix, but rather our basic molecules themselves being held together by the chemical forces of Kinberg's singular, unwavering vision. The result would be crystal clear, not some muddled, unsophisticated phrase like word of mouth, rather the awakening of the genetic compound found within each of us, in this case film as the scientific modulator which opens our biochemical pathways as a shared experience, a collective electromagnetic wave which could take this series closure to unprecedented heights.

I am going with 45-50% as my RT prediction.
I'm betting on about 48%, honestly. I would love to see it do well and surprise, but nothing I have seen leads me to believe that will be the case. It'll either be pleasantly surprising, or a total dumpster fire.
