Oh the animated version was definitely much better than the comic. But I'll never consider that a great Batman story in any form.
That's because DC wanted to establish Jon as LGBT representation in the Superbooks. Bendis was the point man for that. And yet, remain he does. 5 years later and counting.
EDIT: But if you don't want to count that, another Superman "game changer" that's terribly-written - John Byrne's Man of Steel.
And yet, Clark Kent being his authentic self and the Kents still being around, are concepts/changes that still reverberate to this day. Ergo, game-changing. No less game-changing than anything Hush or Under the Red Hood did. Yet, all equally crappy stories. That's because DC wanted to establish Jon as LGBT representation in the Superbooks. Hardly when Superman writers from 2003 and onwards ( starting with Waid, Johns etc) kept undoing the late 80's and early 90's Byrne contributions. I don't recall fat crime lord Lexpin ever catching on and who remembers protoplasm Supergirl? These examples ironically are closer to the Brubaker/Rucka era status quo and characters that were quickly shown the boot when Grant Morrison took charge. TLH by contrast continues to endure. Look, I fully acknowledge that Loeb was ripping off Godfather and Silence of the Lambs and the resolution to the murder made no sense but it's still a world worth revisiting both as a reader and creator over the early 2000's status quo

Just say you don't like the type of stories Brubaker and Rucka wrote. Would save us a lot of time, honestly. Plenty of us prefer them. And the world turns.
Nothing is "set in stone" in comics. That's irrelevant. Those two aspects fluctuate from time to time depending on the writers. They're not set in stone.
I accepted and highlighted my preferences from the start. It is you who insists on using terms such "garbage" and "crappy" to refer to stories that you dislike. Though I agree it's time to move on from this.
It literally blew up the DCEU. How is that not impact?BVS didn't have any impact whatsoever. It was not a commercial success and got bad reviews. A niche group dedicated to calling it a masterpiece doesn't make it impactful.
Don't forget the entire Snyderverse doing irreparable damage to the image of Superman for 10 years. It literally blew up the DCEU. How is that not impact?
I noticed that the voice actor for Joker wasn't credited in the episode. This makes me think that a member of the cast provided that one line. John DiMaggio, perhaps?
Then again, they could also hire a new voice actor for S2, when the time comes. Holding out for him to reprise the role, though. DiMaggio was great in Under the Red Hood.
Same. I love his Joker voice and think it's a bit underrated. I wish he had more opportunities to do it.
OMG yes, tech noir Batman Beyond.
I’m so happy with this show I can’t stop thinking about. I hope DiMaggio is the Joker voice. He’s the best since Hamill.
I want a Fleischer inspired Superman show in this universe now. I want a full on DCAU in this new universe.
Batman Beyond with nothing but neo-new wave music playing in the background would be sick.
I see the vision.
