He is 43. He was never going to be champion again. This was a legend fighting in his backyard, gutting out a victory over a very good and a much bigger opponent. Damn Vile. :funny:

Look, he had a guy hands down back to the cage, not much of a gas tank. Cut him off and engage.

He did. The guy was a giant who hits incredibly hard. He wore him down and finished him in he 4th. Why you crying so much over this? :funny:

Never saw the appeal in Mark Hunt. IMO, the UFC is biding their time until UFC 213, where I think it'll be Valentina that will reign supreme.

Mike Goldberg and Mauro Ranallo hired by Bellator.

Meh. Main event sucked. Hunt's a brawler, but he can't become champion with that type of game.

Agreed, it was a disappointing bout. Both Lewis & Hunt, more so Lewis, looked gassed after barely a round, the long walk to the cage probably did it.

Any of you watch TUF Finale & in particular the Gaethje/Johnson fight? :shock

Fantastic brawl, been a while since I've seen a legitimately good scrap between 2 guys that don't like each other.

Amazing fight between Yoel Romero and Robert Whittaker. Had me on the edge of my seat. Proud to have a champion repping Australia and New Zealand.

Bring on Bisping.

Nunes pulled out?

Nunes pulled out?

Yeah, she was cleared to fight too. Should be stripped of the title IMO.

She screwed up my multi bet. Had Overeem, Whittaker and Valentina to win. :cmad::cmad::cmad:

Does she lose anything by pulling out at such late notice? A part of the purse next time?

And with her pulling out do you not win the bet for the other 2 combined and get a bit less? Really seems unfair otherwise.

Way to go Robert Whittaker for exposing Yoel Romero's bad cardio.

Nah I still win the first two legs of the bet, so it's just like cashing out of the third leg with no cash out penalty.

Not sure if Nunes will cop a reduced purse next fight, but there should be some repercussions. There's been way too many fighters cutting weight dangerously and blowing fights. Khabib also comes to mind when he was scheduled to fight Ferguson earlier.

Even though Whittaker v Romero was awesome, this PPV had the potential to be one of the best ever with Cody Garbrandt v TJ Dillashaw, Robbie Lawler v Donald Cerrone and Nunes v Valentina all originally set but scrapped.

That was some really unprofessional **** from Nunes. Especially as it really feels like she is ducking Valentina.

If it was due to a bad weight cut, that's on her.

However, I want to hear what she and her camp will have to say about her condition.

Good, that's how it works over here so I was thinking it would have been unfair. And good calls!

Yes, there definitely should be repercussions. Even though I think a fighter should be able to pull out if they choose even if medically cleared, they should face both a serious financial penalty (at least half the purse) and reputational damage. Maybe the number of fights you pull out of should be an officially recorded statistic on your fight record next to wins and losses for eg.

I dunno. It's a pretty weird occurrence. Also, before everyone gets the torches and pitchforks, who knows what is really wrong with Nunes? Even if Dana White says the doctor says she was cleared, that might not be the truth.

That title fight is going to have to be delayed for two months, UFC 2017 I think.

Amanda Nunes said she had a sinus infection with a really bad build up and didn't feel comfortable getting punched in the head. And she said she had trouble breathing in practice.

Wow. Just wow. And she didn't notice until 8 hours before the fight? Bull crap.

Well she apparently notified the UFC of the issue at least on Friday. She might've beforehand, dunno.
