🤛 Official UFC Thread - Part 8

Reinforces peoples thoughts about this sport being disgusting doesn't it
Well it is MMA. They re-sign drug cheats like it isn't anything. Conor attacked a bus, and was fighting tonight. They wanted Brock Lesnar to do what he did a few months back. The UFC bask in this ****.

This was hilarious and frightening at the same time.

Very frightening, particularly those 2 scumbags that jumped into the cage in particular that attacked McGregor from behind..

You know what's even worse, that will probably spill off into the crowds as well. There's a lot of Irish & a lot of Russian fans there, Khabib leaving the octagon & McGregor being attacked could literally have sparked a massive riot. They're lucky they got the 2 teams away from one another outside the cage.

I thought Connor had him in the 3rd, but then he managed lock him up in the 4th and get the neck crank, shame, hopefully once all of this ugly drama settles there'll be a rematch and Connor can beat his ass.

Honorable in defeat. This guy said everything awful about this man, his friends and his family. He tried to attack Kahbib on a bus. He wasn't joking when he said he was angry.
The bus thing was a total work IMO and Kahbib's friends and family are a bunch of thugs so it's hardly like Connor was insulting saints. Connor is what he is, he's a promo heat magnet to sell fights, that's the business, Mayweather understood this.

Did you see Khabib leaving? They did the right thing getting Conor and him out as quick as they did.

Khabib was really honest going into this fight. He didn't take any of Conor's words lightly.

Never liked Michael, but speaking so much sense

Sure I could agree, but after the fight ....

Conor got in trouble with the law and injured a fighter who got glass particles in his eyes. If it was a work, it was the dumbest work Dana could have pulled.

Conor is a fake gangster. Khabib is a real one. Honestly, Dana must hate this. It took away all of Conor's allure.

Conor's punches were weak from the second round on. Why Khabib stood with him, and then turned it all back on in the fourth to finish.

After tonight it is pretty clear. Conor can't beat Khabib's ass. He whooped him, completely.

The rest of the night had been such a great advert for UFC. Khabib had got his victory where it counted and then he lost his brain completely and has tainted his legacy.

It was dumb but I still think it was a work, it was just sloppily executed, look at the aftermath, Dana was all "I wont work with Conor McGregor again" and like 3 or 4 months later he's lining his pockets off the fight, it's pro wrestling with real fighting at this point.

I don't think either of them are gangsters, Conor is a showman, Khabib has a military background and is surrounded by thuggish bullies, and they all seem too dumb to understand the business they are in, it's the fight game, the promos are just setting the stage, this thug is treating it ALL as real.

Yeah, be careful with these people from the mountains.

In the cage, they're both gangsters. Outside of it both of them are *****es.

I can agree to this, those considering what happened to Conor tonight, gangster in the ring doesn't feel right.

I disagree, I thought he had a couple of good combos in the third that had him feeling it.

I say there'll be a rematch and I'll take Conor.

Well Dana never meant that. He just had to act like he did. He does this every time something like that happens. He is smart, he realizes it will die down in a few months and he can bring back his thugs and cheats. He knows he needs Conor. But Conor is getting sued, so it was real.

Too be fair, it is all real to Khabib. He made it clear a long time ago. That is the thing. Some fighters aren't playing.

I hope they both stay away from the cage now.

He didn't hurt him in the third imo. How would he avoid being grappled into his usual cardio problems? You saw how much energy Khabib had at the end. He beat Conor in every part of the game. He broke Conor down and made him tap.

Conor's only real shot against Khabib is hitting him early. Khabib's defense seems capable of avoiding that and then just working Conor.

He's getting sued because it went wrong, people have been sued in pro wrestling for stunts that went wrong, that doesn't mean it wasn't a work.

Then Khabib is in the wrong business, UFC is showbusiness, it's took the old pro wrestling model and meshed it with real fights, if he doesn't get that he should be stripped of that belt and kicked out, you can't have him attacking people after the fight and his goons jumping another fighter from behind after the match just because he was insulted a few times, that's playground stuff, not the stuff of million dollar fighters.

Then why didn't Dana tell the police it was a work?

No this is fight sport. He is in the right sport. Was Cantona in the wrong sport after he flying kicked a fan? Of course not. Khabib should have enjoyed the whooping he put on Conor, because he humbled him. But tonight was a good example of when keeping it real goes wrong.
