Rumble vs Ngannou at HW would be literally ridiculous, if that fight made it past 1 round I'd be amazed with the sheer power the pair of them have.

I agree. 2 rounds would be too generous for both of these fighters. Have you seen Johnson in recent pics? Dude looks bloated as ****. He'll definitely go down in weight because he can't possibly carry that much and still maintain some decent stamina.

It is literally crazy to think a dude that size was actually capable of making 170lbs..

If he'd fought at LHW his whole career he'd probably have been a multiple time world champion by now.

oh how Ronda was way too overhyped it didn't do her a good job in the end

Would love to see it, probably one of the ultimate fan fights you could do.

He's also slimming down because he's back in the USADA pool so he's had to get off all the Mexican supplements. He was very candid in an interview that you pretty much have to take them if you want to reach your full potential in bodybuilding which was actually refreshing.

Forgot this fight was this Saturday till I saw this pop up. Looking forward to it, I fancy Cerrone to win this one especially given it's at 170lbs. He physically looks the bigger man & Cerrone's had a career somewhat similar to Bisping's career at MW in that he's only really lost to some of the best of the best.. he's not the pushover people are trying to make him out to be as if this is going to be an easy bout for McGregor.

Whittaker out of his fight with Cannonier (supposedly not injury related but due to the ongoing bush fires)

It's so refreshing to see Connor not talk trash and be respectful at least for once. :funny:

I didn't expect the 2 of them to be so cordial with each other given that their past interactions at press-conferences have been feisty.

Multiple Choice

A)Conor ko's Cerrone
B)Cerrone taps McGregor
C)Conor taps Cerrone
D)Cerrone ko's McGergor

Who ever chooses wisely wins a cookie

This is the first UFC main even I've seen fully. Goddam I'm impressed.

What a terrible card and a joke of a main event.

Cerrone is a career gatekeeper who has now been knocked out 3 straight times.

Wow..

The fight was literally over inside the 1st 10 seconds after McGregor destroyed Cerrone's nose with those shoulder strikes, no way he was going to last with a broken nose that bad. McGregor caught him with a headkick that wasn't particularly venomous but Cerrone leant into it & when it wobbled him he went ultra defensive to try & protect his broken nose. The nose break though is really what ended the fight, Cerrone wouldn't have been so concentrated on protecting himself so much after getting wobbled had his nose not been broke & might have been able to grab a hold of McGregor or return fire. Fast, brutal & flawless win for McGregor, much like the Aldo & Alvarez wins, I didn't expect him to make his wins over them look so easy.

You do know those other 2 TKO's before McGregor came to Tony Ferguson who's basically batters everyone & Justin Gaethje who out of his 21 victories has only had 2 of those guys see the final bell.. and both guys are in the top 5 of arguably the most killer filled division in the UFC, LW.

Those shoulder strikes were pretty creative

You see people go for them all the time & you often hear casual enthusiasts act like they don't do anything, McGregor just put an end to that myth tonight by breaking someone's nose with them.

Jon Jones uses them from time to time, although he is in general a pretty dynamic striker who tries all sorts of unorthodox strikes.

Yeah, but I was surprised that McGregor had those in his arsenal; and to use it effectively

Cerrone gets blown out every single time he steps up in competition, and now he's 36. He doesn't just lose big fights, he gets completely outclassed every single time.

He's the definition of a gatekeeper. This was a blatant cherry pick of a guy whose reputation far exceeds his accomplishments.

Yeah, but I was surprised that McGregor had those in his arsenal.

McGregor's a pretty dynamic striker in general, usually the technique that works for him is a straight left but he's got an arsenal of wheel kicks he breaks out from time to time, showed a lot of good elbows vs Diaz in their rematch.

It's as I've said previously, most of Cerrone's loses have been to the elite fighters &/or former champions. He has beat some of them though & really 'step up' in competition is subjective because LW is such a killer division that there's guys that have never been champion that are good fighters that just have never been able to put together that championship run for one or another reason.

McGregor's ranked 4th, Cerrone's ranked 5th, Khabib's the Champion fighting Ferguson (1st), Poirier(2nd) & Gaethje(3rd) were both on the shelf when the fight was made. He literally fought the highest ranked opponent available for the date.

If he'd not fought Cerrone & waited for Gaethje or Poirier at that March card, people would have then said he ducked Cowboy because he was available for this event.. and the pair had history. The fight literally picked itself.

Cerrone has gone 4-7 with 5 KO losses in his last 11 fights.

He's shot.
