Deontay Wilder Talks Anthony Joshua Fight - Boxing News 24/7 (boxing247.com)
Could be interesting, both big hitters.
Mentality could be an issue after his recent losses and his chin is unfortunately not what you’d expect looking at the guy, but he has the size not to get easily bullied and the punch power to cause them problems if he actually throws (has been too guarded in recent fights) and lands cleanly (not easy against Fury). It would certainly shake up the division if he did beat one of them.Call me crazy, but I still think Joshua could give Wilder and Fury a tough time.
He still has good movement and a skillset, it'll be harder for Wilder to find him with his right or for Fury to just maul him like he did to Wilder the last two fights. Both fights would be intriguing.
i'm trying to watch it on firesticks but can't for some reason. It has REALLY been a slow 2 months in boxing!!!!Anybody watching the Paul/Fury fight? I just found out about it 15 minutes ago![]()
Without Wilder, no one is really going to care Tbh. I'm not a huge Wilder fan but his name does sale, despite Fury going WWE and beating him. Fury/Usyk doesn't move the needle in the USA at all, neither does Fury/AJ.
This could have been huge before Fury and Wilder had fought so many times and before Joshua’s losses. Seems a bit late now.Without Wilder, no one is really going to care Tbh. Oh had no idea about that. I’d assumed Wilder wasI don't think Hearn/Warren would really care about appeasing the American market Wilder can't even sell in his own country, his return fight only did 75,000 buys in the US.
AJ's return did, reportedly, 700,000 against an equally "no-name" opponent & Fury/Chisora, again reportedly did 500,000. (Both in UK/Ireland)
Uysk's an odd one because his last 3 fights have all done 1m+ buys in the UK/Ireland alone, however 2 were obviously against AJ & the other was against Chisora in 2020. I don't think for example if he fought Jermaine Franklin he'd do even half of Fury/Chisora's PPV buys nevermind touching AJ's.
As it stands Wilder's got the lowest stock & leverage of the 4 IMO.
That's because Wilder is a big draw.Oh had no idea about that. I’d assumed Wilder was
one of the big draws.
