"1" Change You'd Make For Spidey 3!

Well laying aside the whole more Brock issue I would take out the 'Peter mimicking the marching band on Spider-Man Day scene'. Is it just me or was that really embarrasing and cringe worthy?

Didn't Norman tell Spidey not to tell Harry before he died? and if the Butler cleaned up Norman's wounds than Spidey must of given Norman's body to the Butler, so Spidey probably told the Butler not to tell Harry because Norman didn't want Harry to Know. Makes sense to me.

LOL! one half of fans are saying MORE venom the other half are saying LESS venom.

I'm in the LESS venom half, the film would have been much better if he were REMOVED from the movie entirelly. at least I am safe in the knowledge SM4 will be a 'venom free zone' fingers crossed it will be 'carnage free zone' as well. silver age villians are better, LOOK better have more emotional depth and sam UNDERSTANDS them.

Remove the black suit and Venom altogether until the next set of films and have a focused, coherent story that examines the parallels of Spider-man's revenge on the Sandman with Harry's revenge on Spider-man, with particular emphasis on the moral dynamic as to how each "murder" was for a greater good/justified.

2 hours long, succinct point and theme, more scenes for Spider-man/Sandman/Harry interaction and development = Great Trilogy.

I would have had a scene in there where Peter happens upon Eddie Brock talking with his coldhearted father in San Francisco over a payphone, seeing just how bad Eddie's relationship with him is. Just imagine how effective the drama and character development of Eddie Brock could have been if we learned a bit more about him. Can you yourselves imagine what life would be like with a parent who hates you because they blame you for causing the death of your mother when you were born? But I guess there's always a sequel to insert this facet of the Eddie Brock/Venom character I guess.

My sentiments, generally. But since I have to accept that Venom/Symbiote is part of the film, I would just ask that the film is 30 minutes longer. Sure, that length is far more than the other two, but at least we'd have a much more cohesive film and solid trilogy.

Those are my big 3 hates of this film and I know they won't go away. At least the 20-30 minutes Raimi cut could make the movie better for character development. The action was good, the story/development was not.

The "No-Spider-Man!" kid was hilarious.

One change? When MJ walks out of the restaurant and says "Please don't follow me" and Peter fishes the ring out of the glass, Gwen comes back and joins him. And Peter realizes the relationship he had with MJ is based on adolescent wish fulfillment, but with Gwen he finds something deeper.

Dude, you have figured out that the reason SM 3 got the biggest opening week so far is because of Venom, right? Saying that, I wish he'd either been the only villain or that he'd been kept out and left for another director to handle down the line.

I'd probably tell Raimi not to throw in Venom just for fan praise (which is basically what Arad suggested to do ), but to save him for a meaningful and deep main role as a villain. He wasn't explored enough, and I'll be damned if I say justice was done to his character. -- And I'm saying this as someone who loves the first two films so much that I
was nearly moved to tears by how beautiful and perfect they were.

There are a LOT of other things I'd say, but I think that sums up my strongest concern.

Do this, and not only is the entire core of the movie stronger (and more chewable) but all of the other endlessly repeated gripes disappear (except the butler).
