dirk, kidd, peja, marion... all deserve a ring. hope they get it.
I'll give you Dirk and Kidd but Peja and Marion? Come on now.
vets who have played hard their whole career, why not? marion spent most of the year coming off the bench, first time in his career, and played great because of it. he could be a starter for most other teams. and peja came back from injury and has had to fight for playing time on a team that was already loaded with shooters. both of them gave up a lot to play on a team that they knew could be a contender.
So playing a long time now means you "deserve" a ring. Um no.
but you dont deserve it!Also, can we please stop saying so and so deserves whatever.
It's funny how both Lakers and Celtics exited in the second round, and Celtics only won one more game than Lakers in their series. I think both teams will have to get significantly younger if they want to compete in the near future.
Agree on both points Ghost.Want to bring up a few things that I have been thinking to see what you all think.
First, I think what Bynum did was a punk move. With that said, I feel that the media has really overblown what happened. There are analysts that have been saying that it was on the level of the Bad Boys. Hardly in my opinion. Still a punk move.
Second the over-hyping of Rondos comeback. Now that Rondo made his comeback suddenly every analyst wants to discredit Reeds impact when he showed up injured for the Knicks, so that Rondo can take his place. I don't think so. What Rondo did was great, but why rip up the history books to insert some one new? Why not just write him in next to Reed?
i had an odd dream that Steve Nash signed a deal with Miami for a year or two...wouldnt that be nuts? i love Nash.
I've been a Heat fan since the days of Zo, Hardaway and Rice. its great to be in this position again.
