Part 2: Hype Life

Congrats, you've been cast on MTV's the Real World! Which 6 Hype members would you pick to live in a house with you? Why?
Corp-He's a pretty cool guy overall it seems, and I enjoy having conversations with him even if we don't particularly agree. He'd pay for food, though, by God.
Anubis-Seems like he'd be a fun guy to have around, though I don't know, he seems like he might very well be insanely depressing in 'real life', but since The Real World is fake that doesn't matter.
gwynplaine-Really like talking with this guy about films and the such. Plus, he's French, and just maybe he could help improve my ****** French speaking.
El Bastardo-I haven't had that much experience with this guy truth be told, but he seems like someone I could be utterly pretentious with for the sake of frustrating the other contestants.
Watchman-Yeah, kind of the same as El Bastardo, but probably a good legit ally to have when Bastardo turns on me. And me and Watchman tend to be on the same wavelength with most things, so we'd kind of be like The Stepford Cuckoos, Five-in-One in Two.
BlackLantern or lixdexia-I think the crux of those types of shows tend to be conflict and those two sure do know how to stir the **** when they want to. Of course, they'd be outnumbered and outmatched, so me and Watchman would just end up beating them to death with Love and Rockets hardcover trades, but that would be the added bonus.

Really, the only one I can think of is this misconception that I don't respect everyone's opinion of Wonder Woman. I don't know if that's all that big of a misconception as much as two whiny users who don't know jack**** about anything trying to tout it, but it's all I can think of

People arguing about something they obviously know nothing about. Well, that's just something in general, I guess. I just don't understand the need for some people to try and argue about something that you clearly don't know jack**** about. Just shut the **** up about it and move on.
What SHH event (that you not necessarily had to be a part in) has given you the most enjoyment?
I have never really participated in any of those. I do remember one where everyone changed their names to ***** jokes or something. I chuckled at that

What are you looking forward to the most at this years E3?

Hm, I've not thought about it a whole lot truthfully. Probably my most anticipated is a toss up between The Last Guardian and Uncharted 3. There's always that one game that totally take me off guard at E3, though, so it's always up in the air.

Well, the change was mainly spurred because they are finally reprinting the Sailor Moon and Codename Sailor V mangas in the US, and I'm a big fan of the series and have a large degree of interest in the 'magical girl' genre. I was going to go the full monty and rename myself Sailor Moon but decided that I couldn't handle the whole moon. Several people have told me they liked Tron Bonne, so I dunno, I may change back at some point.

I've had several, but probably the profound one that comes to mind I had was when I did my first 4/20 and I smoked an absolutely absurd amount of pot. I'm not sure how to put it into words, but afterward I drove out with the friend I was with, and it was like everything felt like I had stepped outside the general perception we have of time and was kind of seeing other events I'd experienced. Like I said, kind of hard to explain but hopefully I got the jist of it

- What was your most enjoyable comic book reading experience?

Oh, way too many count really. Recently speaking, I finally got around to reading Grant Morrison's Batman & Robin series. It's been very enjoyable thus far

- What is the funniest movie you have ever seen?

Another hard one to pin down since I've seen so many films of varying degrees, but I would probably say This is Spinal Tap is the film that I laughed the most at and this do upon rewatching.

- What is your favourite album(if you cannot pick one, pick a few).

Hm, not thought a whole lot about it to be honest, but it'd probably be David Bowie's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars.

- Who is your favourite band and fav solo musician?

Favorite band would probably be Talking Heads or The Pillows, favorite solo would go to David Bowie.

- What is your favourite comic to movie adaptation?

Honestly, I think it'd probably go to Scott Pilgrim vs The World. I may have said The Dark Knight not too long ago, but I keep enjoyed SP more and more as I rewatch it.

- Did you ever get into trouble at school for anything? If so, what was your most memorable moment of troublemaking?

I never got into major trouble or anything. I came close once when someone who didn't like me ratted me out for having pot in my locker in High School, but thankfully no one believed that ass (even if it was true at the time).

Outside that, back in the seventh grade I got in trouble for heckling a teacher that landed me in alternative school for about a month.

The Twilight Zone, easily. After finishing The Prisoner recently, I could maybe see that opting, but there's just too much good in the former.

I would probably give that one to All in the Family.

- Fav comic book writer?

Kind of a hard one. It's probably a toss up between Alan Moore, David Lapham and Grant Morrison right now, but would probably be more convoluted if I gave it more thought. I guess if I were to narrow it down to just one it'd probably be Alan Moore.

- Fav comic book artist?

There's a lot of great artists, but I think the greatest has to be JH Williams III. I just don't think there's anyone else out there that can gracefully mix so many styles and still come up with his own unique feel. His visuals feel like they tell a story all in their own way.

That being said, I actually think Frank Quietly is the best superhero artist.

- What led you to getting into comic books? What were some of your first comics?

There wasn't really one particular thing that segued me getting into comics, I think it was just the general idea of the superhero that got me interested. And, as I read more and my tastes maturer I got to love the way visuals married with words and such. Some of my first comics were some Superman comics my uncle had kept from various ages. He didn't collect them per say, but he had a lot of them in storage that I read

Not to a large degree. Around these parts we all tend to be kind of poor anyway, but I know my Grandfather has had a tougher time than usual with the housing market still being poor.

How much does gasoline cost per gallon in your area?

Right now, the cheapest is $3.59 and the highest is $3.72. At least, that was yesterday, probably changed by now with the way gas is nowadays.

No, not at all, but it is a sentiment I seem to be getting quite a bit since the change.

Hmm, I guess about the most things user would remember me for is I've been doing the Diamond comics shipping list for about three years now.

What is your biggest regret and if you could relive that moment what would you have done differently?

Not one particular moment in question, but mainly not doing very much in High School. I'm surprised by how little I really did back then when I think about it. I'm glad I didn't go buck ****ing wild or anything, but it was a very uneventful time in a time where I feel I should have developed a little more.

Tell the story of your first love, not necessarily your greatest love.

Well, I was a bit of a late one when it comes to love. The first person I think I fell legitimately in love with wasn't until college. The story itself isn't much to tell. We wavered around each other for awhile, and even though I do think there was mutual feelings going in that direction, it didn't pan out due to wants to focus on career and school over relationships. And that's...all there is to say.

I'm not big on collectibles to be honest. I guess maybe the All Star Batman Batgirl figure I got would win it.

I don't know, probably some assless chaps.

Tape/CD: I believe it was actually Remain in Light by Talking Heads.
DVD/Blu-Ray: I know my first Blu-ray was the first season of Mad Men. I want to say my first DVD was Beauty and the Beast, but I can't remember for sure.
Automobile: My mom's old car. I don't even remember what the hell it was, but it was a little white car that leaked oil horribly.

Pretty much on the streets (aka from people at school and other items). I grew up in a very conservative household, so I didn't get a lot of prep talk about it. Not that I didn't get any talk about it, but the guts of it were glossed over.

Who has been your biggest influence and why?

Hard to say, really. Charles Bronson? Probably.

Where is your next vacation spot?

I'm thinking France for some goddamned reason.

The scenery. There's not much to do out here or anything, but it is damn beautiful.

Not had coffee for years, but the best place was this little local shop in my hometown. It was just called The Café as far as I can remember.

Well, since I couldn’t keep anything, I would probably go on a trip for the day, rent an expensive car, and give the rest to charity when the day was done.

You are sent to prison for a stupid crime. But damn those Ho Hos were good! How do you keep alive, despite the overwhelming feeling you are in trouble?

Well, I think the key is to find one of the tougher inmates (though not the toughest) and get the drop of them, and then beat the ever-living **** out of them. I mean, whale the absolutely **** out them. It shows you mean business and aren’t afraid to knock some teeth out. It won’t guarantee you anything, but it’ll keep the small fishes away well enough.

Which movie this year are you most looking forward to seeing?

Oh, I don’t know really. There’s not a whole lot that come to mind. There’s a few I know I’ll be watching if I can like Captain America and Tree of Life, but I can’t think of any that I’m dying to see right now.

The beanie baby thing. They were cute and all, but I never really got that one.

None. Any fad I was part of I wanted to do. I can’t even recall one particular fad that I was into. Maybe Pokemon if you count that as a fad, but eh, the original games were fun.
