Part 1 - Your "real" life
Join Date: I believe it was on Feb 1st, 2008. A couple of days after my 19th birthday.
Where were you born? Born and raised in the BX.
Where do you currently live? Bronx, NY
Age? 22
Height? Around 5'10" - 5'11"
Hair color? Black/Really dark brown
Eye Color? Brown
Do you have any tattoos or piercings? If so what and where? (Pics a plus) None, and don't ever plan on getting any.
Lefty or Righty? I rely heavily on the right side of my body for just about everything. Although, when I played baseball, I was a little successful as a switch-hitter, although righty was definitely my stronger side.
Do you have any siblings? Yes, one half-brother and one-half sister from my mother's side that I was raised with. I also have several half-siblings from my father's side, although I've only met one of them.
What is your current avatar and why? It is one of the paintings done by Alex Ross that was featured in the opening credits for Spider-Man 2. I've always loved the scene where Spidey catches MJ in the parade attack scene and this avy captures that scene perfectly.
How many posts do you have right now? This will be number 12,673.
Post a picture of your handwriting:

What is your job? I am currently unemployed at the moment, but I have been helping my mother babysit my niece and nephew whenever I am free and she doesn't have time.
Do you have a car? What kind? (Pics a plus) No car yet. :(
If you were a pro athlete, what would be your intro song? "Seven Nation Army" by the White Stripes
what's your lucky number? 3
any superstitions? None that I actively practice. But I used to believe in maintaining a particular routine when I had a really good day, in hopes that the next day would be just as good.
What kind of cell phone do you have? Blackberry Curve 9330
What's your default ringtone? Probably the default that comes with the phone. I always keep my phone on vibrate so I've never heard it ring.
What is the last movie you saw in theatres? It's been a while, so I will have to say it was probably The Dark Knight.

Part 2 Your Hype Life
Congrats, you've been cast on MTV's the Real World! Which 6 Hype members would you pick to live in a house with you? Why? Prison Mike, The Caped Knight, Kryptonian Warrior, Sensi, Wolvieboy17, and Chris Wallace. I have a bunch of good memories of talking about the good and really bad stuff on Smallville which some of these guys, while the others have been around on various game and movie threads that I frequents and good conversations are always had.
Who is your Hype drunken duet partner? Prison Mike.
What will you sing? Just the chorus of "Save Me" by Remy Zero. :hehe:
Have you ever met anyone from the Hype in real life? Nope.
have you ever posted commando? No, but I've posted many times while on the toilet.
What brought you to the Hype? I thought after years of lurking, it was finally time for me to enter in to some conversations about Smallville, especially since I don't have any friends that were into all that much.
What keeps you here? Mostly its because this is a place where I can I can talk about a wide variety of things like games, movies, TV shows, or even nothing at all.
Link us to a thread you enjoy: I love getting a good laugh. The Funny Pics Thread!
you're going on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, which member of the Hype would be your Phone-A-Friend? The Caped Knight always seems to have answers.
Which two Hype Members would you like to compete against in Jeopardy? Sensi and Prison Mike.
Which two Mods? The Original Bamfer and Hobgoblin.
Hype Crush? I always assumed every poster was a guy so I never had one.
Hype Nemesis? I don't think I'm that well known enough to have a nemesis.
What is your favorite Smiley? :awesome:
Least favorite?
Take the opportunity now to clear up one misconception about you. I've recently made more posts than usual in the "Hate" thread, but its mostly due to the fact that I've kept a lot of things bottled inside and was always told never to complain about things. So a lot of the things I say I hate are things that have bothered me about myself and others over the last several years and I am only now starting to be vocal about it.
What is your Hype Pet Peeve? When certain posters reply to every single thread in a given movie or TV show section. It's one thing to be engaged in several different conversations, but it really rubs me the wrong way when the same poster has posted in 10+ threads just to say something like "cool" or "nice article".
What SHH event (that you not necessarily had to be a part in) has given you the most enjoyment? I guess it would have to be Survivor because of the way it usually tries to involve others who aren't taking a part in it full time to feel just a little more involved.

Why haven't you been to a movie theater since 2008???

Kane52630

What happens if you get scared half to death twice? I'd only be 3/4 of the way to death.

If you were going to shoot a mime, would you use a silencer?
No, I would want him to hear the sound of his world crashing down before his very eyes.

If a word in the dictionary were mispelled, how would we know?
We'd have to use spell-check before we hit print.

Is there another word for synonym?
Yup, anti-antonym.

Can vegetarians eat animal crackers?
Yes but they'll feel guilty afterwards.

Do they sterilize the needles for lethal injections?
Nope, they figure it's a waste of time and other useful materials.

Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?
Funny clowns taste funny, but bad clowns taste bad.

If a man is standing in the middle of the forest speaking and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?
Of course. He should have spoken loud enough for her to hear him.

If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation?
Only if one of the personalities is asking for something in demand.

How young can you die of old age?
Depends on how young you feel.

If you saw a heat wave, would you wave back?
No, I'd give it the cold shoulder.

How many people does it take to change a searchlight bulb?
As many people as it takes to buy one.

Is it still real to you?
We have to go deeper.

Post 5 songs/singles you want us to listen.
"Bring Me to Life" - Evanescence
"Seven Nation Army" - the White Stripes
"23" - Weezer
"Beat It" - Michael Jackson
"I'll Follow You into the Dark" - Death Cab for Cutie

If a turtle doesn't have a shell, is he homeless or naked?
Home is where the heart is, so he's naked.

Why do they put Braille on the drive-through bank machines?
So people with sight can practice for when they get old and blind.

What do batteries run on?
The treadmills over at Planet Fitness.

If a parsley farmer is sued, can they garnish his wages?
Yes, and they'll relish doing it.

Do you have any infractions? If so, do you care to tell us how you got them?
Never had one.

What is your least favorite word?
Impossible.

What turns you on?
A girl with a pretty/cute face, a nice personality, a sports and/or gaming fan, nice sense of humor, smart with high aspirations.

What turns you off? Smoking, excessive drinking, tattoos, too much talking in the sense that its always a complaint about others, and a foul mouth.

What sound do you love?
Anything with a violin or piano being played softly.

What sound do you hate? Screaming, whether it be two adults arguing or a child screaming because they want something that they can't have.

What is your favorite curse word?
F---

What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?
I would love to be an actor or an architect.

What profession would you not like to do?
I would hate to be working in fast food.

If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?
Welcome, home, my son.

Are there any questions?
There were a bunch.

Are you currently happy with where you are in life? Why or why not?
I'd say yes and no, but mostly no.

I know I've been very blessed in that I haven't really ever been in a situation of complete hardship like most people are, even though there's been a few close calls. But at the same time, I'm not too happy because I feel like I have a lot of wasted potential. I'm not where I want to be or imagined myself being at this point in my life, and as each day passes, I feel more and more like I'll never have the life that I've always wanted. That has caused me to experience slight signs of depression that I can't seem to completely overcome for very long. I also feel very stuck and helpless at the moment.

Why haven't you been to a movie theater since 2008???
A few years ago I got heavily involved in a church and got sucked into a religious mentality that everything was bad. I completely lost interest for everything like movies and sports. After that, I wasn't into going to movies as much since I used to go with my brother but he was far away with his family. Plus I never had any money or friends to go out with. I do plan on seeing The Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers though.

Hey , that's cool , I've been down that road but couldn't adapt to the lifestyle. If I could only see two movies next year, that would be them.

Yeah, I stopped going about a year ago for the same reason, and now I've spent the past year trying to catch up on so many things that I feel like I missed out on like music and movies. I just saw Inception this past weekend after hearing all the hype and I was really impressed and wish I had seen it sooner.

I would have to say the red leather jacket worn by Tom Welling during the final season of Smallville. This company makes custom tailor made versions of it, and if they made one in black, I'd definitley want one.

What's your all-time favorite Spiderman related story arc? Least favorite? My favorite arc would have to be "If This Be My Destiny ..." from Amazing Spider-Man 31-33. I've never gotten into the comics, but I had the Marvel Masterworks TPBs of the first 50 issues and I remember being really compelled by the story in a way that not many other comics.

My least favorite would have to be the Clone Saga. I don't really like clone stories all too much in any kind of story, but I feel like it made up for some confusing storylines for Spider-Man, and I really hated the way they did all of the clone stuff in the animated series.

Are you going to still hang with us in the Smallville section after its gone? Yeah, I'll still stick around and check out any thread that I'm still subscribed to. But with the way that it seems to be consumed completely with negativity now, I don't think I'll be stopping by on a daily basis to chat because its only a matter of time until making the same arguments get boring.

Do you plan on buying the entire series box set? If I had the money, or if my brother decided to buy my individual boxsets from me, then maybe. But at this point, I think I will wait for a nice deal on the season 10 Box set. Truthfully though, the finale felt like a bad breakup and I haven't felt ready to get back into it because I know nothing will change how it ended. So I guess I just need some time to heal and remember the good old days so that I can go back to watching old episodes again.

What was the funniest night in the SV section? The worst?Good question. Funniest night would have to be the night that everyone admitted that they secretly thought Milos was a girl based on his excessive use of smileys for anything remotely related to Chloe. The worst night would probably be the night that Dominion aired and everyone was so disappointed that a lot of people lost faith in the finale and the show. I never saw people go from being super excited to sup disappointed in such a short time. But of course, that's a tie with the night of the finale when it finally became clear that Smallville would no longer have any new episodes.

Hi my name is SpideyVille, you might remember me on SHH for such things/threads as? The Relationship Advice Thread here I confessed that I didn't want "eskimo kiss" a girl.

What is your biggest regret and if you could relive that moment what would you have done differently? My biggest regret is wasting my high school years by not even thinking about the future. Instead of being lazy and just trying to get by with decent grades, I think I would have gotten myself more involved with things at school, as well as things outside of school like getting a job and some experience out in the field.

Tell the story of your first love, not necessarily your greatest love. When I graduated Kindergarten, I went to my stepdad's house for the summer. He was the super of a building and lived on the ground floor. I would play outside all the time and that day I saw a girl at her window watching me from the next floor up. Her name was Patricia and I thought she was beautiful. We started talking and I really started to like her as much as a 6 year old can like a 5 year old. Sadly, though, I never met her face to face, and I think her parents didn't want her talking to me.

What’s your biggest geek collectible? I don't really collect things, but I did have this poster in my room for a while.

How did you find out about the birds and the bees? The late night movies that aired on Cinemax after 11pm.

Who has been your biggest influence and why? I would say my dad, but not for any positive reasons. I think all my life I have tried to make decisions that would make me be as different from him as possible. I think part of the reason why I always tried to live up to the way that my mom raised me, no matter how extreme some of her methods and ideas were, was because I felt like I wouldn't be on a path to make the same decisions that he made.

Where is your next vacation spot? Possibly Fresno, CA to see my sister.

If you moved tomorrow, outside of family or friends, etc. what would you miss most about the place you were living?Definitely the level comfort. My house is the only real place that I let myself go in and I've never gone too far away from my neighborhood since all of my schools were with 10-15 mins away from my house. I'm very familiar with the area and that has helped me feel more comfortable being away for a few hours.

Lot of attractive girls in Fresno.

Nice to know. The only thing that would make me not to want to stay long in California is that my sister wants me to stay with her and help out with her kids so she can try to go back and finish college since she dropped out to join the Marines. After my experiences with my brother's kids, who are older and not as attached as her kids are, I don't think I want to put myself in that situation. Especially since I would like to do some traveling once I finish this last semester.

As you know, we're nearing the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Where were you on that day? Will you be doing anything to mark the anniversary?

As you know, we're nearing the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Where were you on that day? Will you be doing anything to mark the anniversary?
I've always lived in NY and ten years ago I was just starting off at a new middle school after graduating from my elementary school. I didn't know anyone there and that school was the only school I went to that was not in my neighborhood, and was pretty far from my house, so I was already pretty scared and nervous. I remember hearing kids get called out to the main office that day and everyone was wondering what was wrong until the teachers finally told us what happened. At first people were saying it was a bomb on top of the towers, and then it was a helicopter shooting the towers. It wasn't unttil my mom finally picked me up and took me to my stepdad's house that I saw what had happened. After that day, I didn't go to school for the rest of the week because my mom was scared of more attacks. It was the first time in a few years that I missed out on school.

But I will not be doing anything to mark the anniversary. I understand it was a big day in history, especially NY history, but I can't help but look at it like just another day.

I'd love to ask about the origin of your name, but I'll get that you really love Spider-Man, and Smallville is a great TV series. -End of Tale-

You read Spidey comics at times? Or still not so into comics cause of the way you needed to pass through many titles sometimes in the 90s and sometimes pre the current era where only Amazing Spider-Man is available?

You are correct!

You read Spidey comics at times? Or still not so into comics cause of the way you needed to pass through many titles sometimes in the 90s and sometimes pre the current era where only Amazing Spider-Man is available?
I don't really read comics in general, mainly because I hate reading and have a hard time focusing while I read. So most of the comics I do have, while are actual TPBs, I buy because I'm more intrigued by the art. But the books I have are the first 5 Marvel Masterworks, Spider-Man Blue, Back in Black, and The Other (which I still have not read).

But my main problem with comics in general is how some titles seem like those daytime soap operas that never seem to end and have been on tv for more than 40-50 years. Yet at the same time, there's at least 3-4 other titles for the same character that is usually not related. So it always seems like there are different takes on the character, yet when it comes to film, people want there to be one definite form, which I believe just become confusing after a while. I also think that decisions to kill off heroes are done to bring interest to a character or story that just isn't doing as well as before.
How did you get into Spider-Man?
I never had any interest in comic characters until the first Spidey film came out. I remember watching the HBO special and suddenly I was very interested in the concept. I played the game and saw the movie and after that, I got obsessed with Spider-Man, and that opened the door for me to give other heroes a chance. It's also mainly the reason why I find it hard to get into the reboot film, because the Raimi films were my first exposure to the character and they hold a special place in my heart. No matter how good ASM may be, I just can't consider it to be better.

I have a tale to tell you man, but guess I'll save it for 15 minutes with me

what was your favorite class in HS?

least favorite class in HS?

What kind of toothpaste do you use?

How many times a day do you brush your teeth?

ComicChick
what was your favorite class in HS? Definitely anything that had to do with Math. I took Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus and I aced them all.

least favorite class in HS? Anything that had to do with Science. I took Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Astronomy and I nearly failed them all.

What kind of toothpaste do you use? Usually anything from Colgate or Crest.

How many times a day do you brush your teeth? Only once, in the morning, but for some reason now I feel like that's not enough.

I always like to hear responses to this question...especially from New Yorkers.
