Wow, what a great use of the police's time and the public's tax money to get this "dangerous" girl off the streets before she "rapes" another unwilling young boy

. This kind of crap never ceases to tick me off, let's just ignore common sense, thousands of year's of human history where sex between differing ages was the norm, and NATURE ITSELF, so that parents of the modern age can have a few more years to pretend that their YOUNG ADULTS are still just their precious, innocent little children, and continue to spoil and "protect" them.
Another thing, if these young teens REALLY NEED to be "protected" from sex, then they need to be protected from ALL SEX, not just sex with those over 18. Since the argument is that they are
too young for their consent to "count", then that same argument should apply even if they're having sex with another young teen. Why not arrest two 15 yr olds who've had sex for "abusing" eachother? After all, they've begun to arrest young teens for "sexting" naked pictures of themselves to other highschoolers, accusing them of distributing child pornography(which is ridiculous), and a 15 yr old young man who molests an 8 yr old would certainly be prosecuted(which is NOT ridiculous). These laws, which are dealing with similar situations, need to have similar age standards. If young teens are old enough to have sex w/ eachother, then they're old enough to have sex PERIOD. I'm sure it's not a popular opinion, but a 14-15 yr age of consent is totally reasonable. And if you are a parent who's uncomfortable with your young teen sleeping with someone over 18, then instill that value in them YOURSELF, and don't expect society to enforce it for you.
(and, just for the record, yeah I'd feel exactly the same way if it was a 14 yr old girl and a 19 yr old guy, or if the age difference was even larger)
