2007 - 2008 NCAA Basketball Thread

Another tough win, but Memphis is 9-0. Saturday's game against Georgetown should be a good one.

They're awful.

Central Michigan ...seriously? The ****ing Chippewas?

Central is pretty good. I think. Maybe.

First Beilein, now Rodriguez... I hear UM is looking at WVU's soccer coach.

That is entirely true.

Congrats to MSU beating Texas, as I was on probation when it happened

Wisconsin beat Texas, too, last night.

MSU defeats Wisconsin-Green Bay, looks to move up a spot or two in the new AP poll since Pitt lost

By far the funniest post I've ever seen, via an MSU forum:

Topic - "I wouldn't be surprised if there were upsets in this year's NCAA's"

Subject - "Some lower seeded teams are gonna win some games. You heard it here first"

:lmao:

Bruins beat nationally ranked Stanford.

Trojans lose to Cal but Mayo gets his.

KU is having its way with Boston College right now.

Man, I gotta give Tubby some credit... he's turning Minnesota into a non-crap/semi-decent team.

But MSU still wins

Meet MSU's big center for women's basketball... Alyssa DeHann... erm...

My Cousin, Mike(used to go to MSU) went to the Game last night..His wife got him tickets for christmas...Then after he saw Dantonio with his family...So he went over and told him how the Spartans had a great season and that he did a great job...

He told me that he said that he Appreciated him saying that....He was with his family so Mike didnt wanna completely bother him...I was just excited to hear the news...I wanna meet him:(

bobby knight should bring his grandson to every press conference from now on

I'm so happy Nova beat Pitt today. I don't know how we lost to DePaul but we came back next game and pulled out a win

Jeez, Carolina. Cut it closer next time.

Good game ...as long as it turned out the right way.

The win over Pitt today makes the DePaul loss even more crushing. Although it's great to see the Cats bounce back, it's going to be interesting seeing just how far up in the rankings Nova could have been had they not had the hiccup on Thursday.

And although NCST is a solid team as well, Nova probably should be 13-0 right now. We shall see if they truly are for real or not when they go on the road to face Pitt and then the BIG one in February at Georgetown.

Dammit, Clemson! You could have taken out UNC, and you didn't!

Heels next real challenge could be at Miami. Canes playing very well thus far this season. Although i think NCST has a legitimate chance at knocking off the Heels but then again the game is at Chapel Hill.

I don't expect much from Miami; they lost to Winthrop ...Winthrop. On top of that, they don't really have a quality win yet. There's a reason a team is 13-1 and still isn't ranked. Now, I like seeing the 'Canes do well (it's primarily carryover from being a fan of the football team), but I have to see how they handle conference play, starting with the Ramblin' Wreck, before considering they're anything more than an afterthought in hoops.

Well the Canes are just outside of being ranked, and you're right they haven't played anyone this year. But i think they have a solid team, and remember UNC hasn't played all that many tough games this season either. Not that they aren't one of the best teams in the country, but you play who's on your schedule. We're going to see what teams are the real deal now that conference play has started.

KU is 15-0, and ready to barnstorm the Big 12.:word:
