2007 - 2008 NCAA Basketball Thread

Well since football is over and conference play has started, It's time to pay a little attention to B-ball.

Badgers are off to a great start with three conference wins. They should challenge Indiana and MSU for the Big10.

And, Mizzou opened up by upsetting Texas. I'll be happy if they finish in the top 5 overall in the Big12 and second in the North Division.

It's like 40 days until March, hell yeah it's time to start paying attention to B-Ball :)

I never start watching until conference play, it doesn't matter until then.

Wisconsin should be third place in the Big Ten, behind MSU and Indiana.

As it stand now, that is incorrect. :o

They have a better conference record than MSU and Indiana, who is currently losing to Illinois in the second half.

So after one bad game, you're making assumptions that WIS is better than both?

MSU has more depth and is a much more dangerous team to make a run in the NCAA tourney.

No assumptions, those are the standings.

Just the facts, Fran, just the facts.

:o

Wait until the two play each other.

Then it will be fact or fiction.

hugs and kisses,
Fran

I like our chances at the Kohl Center. If it was a home game for MSU I'd be more worried, though the Badgers will have to fight either way.

Well Bo Ryan is what, 100-6 there? Yeah. That game is almost entirely a lock for WIS.

He's 106-5 and the Badgers are 138-11 overall, as of the last game against Illini. :wow:

MSU beats Ohio State 66-60 last night, and Drew Naymick had the quote of the night:

RE: Making five FGs and missing 2 free throws

Drew Naymick said:
"If I'd hit those, I might've had the Erin Andrews interview," Naymick joked, referring to ESPN's sideline reporter.

:lmao:

I don't blame him. Erin's hot. :o

I'd invite her to the post-game party or something. :hehe:

Yeah! Way to go General, big win over A&M for a young Red Raider team!

Two thoughts:
1) As a Michigan fan, this is such a down time of year for me. Everything until March sucks. :( Much respect to Coach Izzo, best coach in the game if you ask me.

and

2) Erin Andrews FTW!

IS she married?

Supposedly she lives in or near Atlanta...maybe I ought to take a trip to the city more often.

Going to my first game of the season tomorrow night, Dogs vs. Arkansas.
